Disgusting!
She has based her entire political career on formenting division and hatred in our nation at the expense of minorities. She really is a loathsome person and one i am ashamed is Australian.
Also disgraceful that Nine gave her a platform for her hate and only gave her the boot after an outcry from advertisers.
I'd never vote for her (and I never watch those shows either) but I think she should be allowed on, just as I think her polar opposites from the Greens or whoever should be allowed on. It will be a sad state of affairs if the only politicians allowed to speak on tv are the party-line robots from only Liberal or Labor.
Too often we have people, from both left and right, supporting free speech only when the speech aligns with their own views.
And all that aside, if you truly dislike Hanson, then this is counterproductive - it makes her supporters think 'the system' or 'the elites' are trying to silence her - which generally makes them support her even more.
Too true. I know this is tangential, but the left like to silence dissenting opinions by using "ist" and "phobe" tags, while the right love to cite preservation of status quo or convention and anyone being against that is "un" whatever. Two sides of the same coin.
