POLL: Should the club fold and handover/sell the licence?

I would like to see the NRL demand changes to the structure as part of any license renewal.

Demand a restructure of the ownership structure with open board elections and an opportunity to hold the current incompetents accountable.
As long as its the same for every club its an ok idea. I'm sure News Ltd won't mind be told what to do by the NRL or those clubs privately owned - they'll probably be ok with that idea as well.

I'm against for a number of reasons:
-this proposal does not consider people's attachment to the team - it would simply reduce fans base, e.g. North Sydney -> their followers are lost to the NRL, similar goes with the Souths, until they were resurrected!
- relatively small number of people support the league first, and t the team second! I don't watch the "origin" for 20 years - from when they change the rules - to the "Origin rules". Simply I just follow the WT and don't care or watch any other team or representative game - if I watch sports I watch NBA, NFL, soccer, tennis, UFC, box etc.
- why would anyone support a team without history?
- the Super league tried and disappeared within 3 years, when they finally realised the tribalism is important.
- the WT, and ST George/Steelers shall have the least to wary as they already merged in 1999. Before anyone even think of this stupid Ribot's idea, everyone else must be merged!

You underestimate the incompetence of our leadership, I think that they can drive this club into oblivion within 5 years
You think they can keep F$&@ing up for 5 more years?!! Wow. Surely they are running out of f$&@ ups.

Nope

Neither Western Suburbs Magpies or Balmain Tigers Folded.
We Merged. Neither club had the intent to fold.

We together and were strong and we never bring up both the tough Balmain history or the West's being the biggest underdog in Sydney.
Wests Tigers are Black, White and Gold. Not Black and Gold, that’s Balmain and that was the point.
