Positions up for grabs

With Potter I think he knows what spine he wants. However never have there been so many other positions up for grabs since 2000\. The Tim Sheens looking team days are over. By come round one some of I hope will be held aghast by the new look team & the new look attitude. We know very little. The forum has no answers. Really Potter is an unknown identity & he has been given the reins to a perennial top 8 team. Thats what we do know.

Well it had to happen, every coach has their favourite type of player and Sheens was no different. I think we all agree that things were getting a bit stale. I'm looking forward to next year. My New Year resolution is for a lot better defence. We do have the players to win but they need to string 4 or 5 wins together regularly, not WLWLWWLL

i think we will all see a huge change in attitude , i think we will muscle up , i think potter will keep our attack ,similar but with new ways of going about it , positions and who gets them i think we will have to wait and see , suprises i think maybe 2

Hopefully the cream will rise to the top early in the season and with few injuries during the year the team will be settled to play good winning footy.

I don't think the players are going to be changed a lot. I think the team attitude will change more so, and the general playing style.

We have always had the players. Just the positions were all wrong.

Team come round one don't be surprised to see the same faces.
But our style and attitude will be all new and improved.

I got told the feeling around the place since potter is 180degrees from what it was.
They are being absolutely drilled to the slaughter house, the professionalism is increasingly more noticeable and players attitudes are somewhat pretty high.
We say it every year but if early indications are anything to go by, giddy up 2013!!!!

Good to hear Troy, good to hear. The right attitude in 2012 was clearly lacking, you could see it on the field and in the general cohesion of the team. Too many individual performances and not enough team performances. Fix that up, and we go along way towards making the 8 IMO.

LOL…im so happy now

You not happy that the sqaud is thriving under Potter??? Cos iv heard the same thing as troy from a Woods source and an Anasta source. Its a great sign that the boys are loving Potters environment while at the same time saying how hard it is.

Theyve achieved nothing yet from where Im sitting….I might wait till I see it myself before getting all excited

Based on form and signing for next year, IMO the only people guaranteed a spot are:

Lawrence at one centre
Benji at 5/8
Farah at hooker
Woods and KG as the starting front row

Everywhere else has a lot of competition for spots and will be interesting to see the make up for round one, as well as how Potter deals with dropping players out of form

Good to hear some positives coming from the club Troy

But they need to transfer that professionalism and the good attitude onto the playing arena

Thats the only place it counts in the end

Having the same no6 and no7 for more than a week will help no end, and even better picking a fair dinkum no7 and no6\. Iam not expecting to win the comp but Iam expecting plenty of ticker for a change

Woods guaranteed front row position. Keith too? You could be right. Is there no one else then.

IMHO, our 'franchise players': Marshall, Farah, Woods and Galloway are only guaranteed starters.
Lets just hope that 'anyone-can-play-anywhere' obsession is gone, so we will see players at their 'natural' position.

If they are healthy, Tedesco, Koroibete, Utai, Lawrence,Miller and Anasta are probably safe bet.

Go Tigers

I agree with this with the exception of Tedesco. He has proven nothing and should have to fight for the fullback possy. Most on here have him a walk up starter…I don't see why.
