Positives

Yep..Benji's Way or hit the Highway…Benji has the WORSE KICKING GAME from [This word has been automatically removed]anamble Cow's to Tweed Head Pirates!!! Benji SHOULD NOT EVEN BEEN IN THE TOP 17!!! Anasta has to play at 6\. Siro at 13\. Let young MILLER play his NATURAL GAME!!! With Anasta at 6, just watch our CENTERS RETURN TO FORM!!! Happy Tiger,,I am not BEMUSED,,just OVER IT!!!

3 Buchanan
2 Galloway
1 Blair

Marshall & Farah had average games, we expect more 😛ray:

In attack we continue to play with 12 players, Moltzen as usual - MIA, mostly hidden and than appears once a blue moon :frowning:

We didnt play well but lets be honest we didnt even have the ball most of the game any team that only had 30 % was going to get a big score line against them.

One thing that is bothering me

We mostly acknowledge that Anasta probably has the best long kicking game and is extremely good with the swirling bombs

Miller has a pin point short kicking game

In the Roosters trial and round 1 I don't think Anasta has kicked once and Miller has kicked twice

Are others bemused by this ??

No, not bemused, more frustrated. As I've said in other threads, R&B need to back off and let other team members play!

On the topic, Jack Buchanan.

Considering the lop sided possession stat we probably did very well not to concede a lot more. They were running on empty for most of the game.

So many people are blamimg the great lack of possession but the question must be asked why did this great disparity occur (only 37% possession to the Tigers). You cannot blame the referee and you cannot balme that favourite scapegoat Sheens. The blame is solely with the players and their incompetence. You say the we probably did very well not to concede a lot more possession. Surely that Is not a good point coming from the game.

early on we got a bit unlucky with a couple richochets rewarded the knights for poor kicks, than a few unforced penalties which were us showing poor discipline. The problem than compounded it self.
BMM gave away a couple of very silly penalties and Bell gave away a clanger on the 4th tackle with us holding them to about the 40 m line to start the poor run in the second half.

Benji took 2 silly grubbers at very poor times.

all of these led to no ball.

AND what??? Pathetic excuse goose

Just downloaded and watched a replay of the match.

Knights first try was off a forward pass. Still no excuse for Utai not to slide, but I am not sure what our defensive structure is under Potter as we seem a bit compressed but not umbrella???
Second and third tries ball goes to ground to create the defensive error by us.
Millers downtown kick is fielded by Uate on the full. I have said this before Miller needs to improve his long kicking game! Earlier Benji kicked dead to negate Uate.
Anasta and Fulton missed crucial tackles to give field position away - Should be our best defenders!!!
Boyd continually hurt us with quality runs. Is it just me or are all the QLD Origin players on fire. Someone drug test them!!! They are as strong as horses and as quick as greyhounds!
Millers poor pass and then a brain snap by Bell hands them the game.
Forget the rest…
Yes you make your own luck in games but the Knights had far more than I have seen any team get in a while, even if we provided 75% of it.

Here is hoping for a much improved effort with some luck of our own, or at least not handing it out to the other side.

If the Wests Tigers players are not on peptides, now is the perfect opportunity….

Perfect opportunity for what, to go on peptides?

First reactions immediately after watching a match like last Monday's are most likely to be very negative. However, in is now clear to me that with the continuing lack of possession the team panicked and with that hours of pre-season training, teamwork and tactics were completely forgotten. You can see this in the amount of one- out football they played when they finally received possession only to lose it again by very silly mistakes. In Rugby League leadership, temperament and teamwork are often more important than brute strength. I hope these points and the need to stand up and lead courageously during difficult times in a match are drummed into the team this week

Marshall kicking game does not help the tigers at all. He need to like Cronk, long when we are struggling, kick for field position and touch when required, grubbers and high attacking kicks when in the 20 and difficult bombs when needed. Not kicking backwards, kick going to our own winger who hasn't moved. Bring on Anasta and Miller, use ther boots. I'm no coach, but this seems pretty simple as it take to pressure of Benji and the chases don't now who they should pressure. Just my opinion.
