Potter - Courage under fire

You got to be a special person to get through what he did today. I wish i had just a fraction of the strength Potter showed today. Just to be able to go to work and carry on….man he has my respect....he may not be able to coach but he wouldn't need to ask me twice to get into the trenches with him.

Some people who have never been exposed to this sort of stuff would have no idea the pressure this guy was under today.
 
I agree. Potter as a man has everyones 100% respect. As a coach we really don't know if he is great or average or bad. However his recruitment decisions was decent and results have improved. That is two ticks. Man management may be a big question mark as awell as team selection>>

He must be thinking deep down what have i done to deserve this??

However he continues to show the upmost integrity and professionalism. It is astonishing really. I have 100% respect for the man and think it is shameful what the club has put him through.
 
He seems like a bloke who could win a dozen premierships and yet he'll still be a better bloke then he is a football coach.

The way he has handled himself has been first rate.

No matter what happens he will leave the joint with his head held high and if his contract is not renewed he will have left the place in much better shape than he found it.
 
I hope that Mick Potter finishes up with a coaching job with a club that is better run than Wests Tigers. For the way he has handled this very distasteful episode, he deserves much better than our dysfunctional operation.
 
For someone who can't (supposedly) coach, he's doing a pretty good job.

The injuries we've had, the rep players missing, the backstabbing from all quarters. Throw in a full performance review from a "never-been".

And here we are still with a BIG chance of making the semis, even after yesterdays day of shame.

I can't control who will be our coach next year, nor can Mick considering everything but I just wish that our CEO and our board had such high expectations placed on them.

Potter has carry himself with dinity despite the shameful treatment from some quarters in the club. He has our full support. We have not been up to standard and not giving him the support that we should to a coach. I hope he be given the support he so deservingly required.Please give the man a fair go.Despite the players injury, sabortage from certain quarters, including from Benji previously, he has done a reasonable job, considering the circumstance he was working under.
 
No one deserves a public blow torching. The way the media and people within our club have applied it to Potter, has been discussing. And for no reason other than their personal agendas.
We know scumbags in the media is it as their right to drag someone over the coals if it's going to lead to good ratings. And people associated with our club have used this.
Potter is made of very strong stuff. He's never asked for an apologyJust gets on with his job.
