I think its safe its safe to say that Brooks has saved Potter from the last green mile & on top of that i think that Potter will be staying around for a while yet. Have a good sleep Mick.

Old era - Sheens/Marshall/ Farah
New era - Potter/Brooks/ Farah

i want to see how robbie handles brooks…

today the hookers (luani and marshall) seemed to let the halves to their thing... i dont think farah can just let that happen... although i could be wrong, time will tell i guess.

Farah has taken a backseat in the playmaking role before and he can do it again. He's stepped up this year creatively due to a lack of decent halves, this will change with brooks and will allow Farah to focus on his strengths.

farah not playing today ended up being a great thing, now he won't feel any need to take excess control when he returns

If Farah does not give Brooks freedom he is doing Wests Tigers a very grave injustice.

Robbie wants to be a hooker who injects himself when the time is right. Always has. It is where he shines.

With a decent set of steady halves he has that opportunity and will relish it IMHO

True smeg, I am tired of this stuff about Farah being too domineering. As if it's an ego thing when he steps up, rather than a necessity due to limp halves.

Me too its absolute rubbish.

Of course they will complement eachother…..Robbie wont have to play half as well as 9.

Farah was taking a backseat in the origin games (until he realied that Pearce and Maloney were doing [This word has been automatically removed] all).

If he has faith in Brooks then i'm sure he won't get in the way. Brooks looks the goods, and almost certainly Farah rates. Going from the Challenge Cup Farah probably didn't rate Miller much.

Benji has been the one who stifled all his halves partners, not Robbie

Adopting Luke Brooks name as your forum name is weird. He is going to have so much pressure to be Andrew Johns, surely you being him won't help.

The name should stay out of bounds. We all need to rally behind this guy and support him when he falls, cheer him in support during a bad game.

Choose a different name

It isnt against the rules as far as Im aware, and I am not purporting to be Luke himself, although an earlier post lightheartedy made reference to that to which I replied - blind freddy though could read between the lines.
There will be many many variations of his name used in members usernames come the next few seasons, Im probably just the first.

Should kids be prevented from getting his name and number on their supporter jerseys too?

Lol you could have gone with Brooksfan. Brooksamania. The Ultimate Brookier. The Brook. Any number of things. Just making it "Luke Brooks" is a bit tarded.

Yep fair enough. It is your call. I am just trying to say it is not beneficial. I'm probably just a little sensitive for the young fella. I'm guessing you are a fan from another club, which is all good too. If I was a non fan I would take his name too. Knowing one day he will get on and it will do his 18 year old head on wondering if everyone really knows its not him… Your prob from Cronulla are you?

I don't believe Potter is safe as houses …. The first 8 or 9 rounds of 2014 will more than likely determine his fate.

It was good to see some smiles and laughter at yesterdays presser for a change

Seems like Potter knows his way around coaching forwards. Could just be players putting in for a change, but we've seen the Sheens effect on players like BMM and Blair, and I shudder at the thought of him having control over Ava, Buchanan, Sironen and Sue. Again, not saying he's a miracle worker, but he's getting performances out of our players - which is a coaches job - bar a few that wont be around and could hardly give two shits (though I'll admit, Benji put in this week). There's probably a reason he won Coach of the Year twice over in England too. Compared to the money Canberra is throwing at Stuart (who surely has to be one of the most over-rated, overpaid sook of a coach), I'd take Potter over almost any other coach in the comp at the moment.

And he should keep his job if we win 4 or 5 of our first 8 or 9 next year. If we are 2-7 or 1-8 then that's a different story
