Potter safe for this year!

Here's a thought. The board of, as yet unidentified fillintheblanks, sack Potter. The NRL employs Potter and places him on the Board as an NRL rep. That would be fun wouldn't it?

I love this club but the way they have treated Potter is disgraceful.

I am a Potter fan and want him signed to a new contract at the Tigers, but there is a big part of me that hopes that now the club has stayed his execution until September, that Potter goes knocking on Saints door and they accept him with open arms.

Today was embarrassing to be a fan of the club.

There is no trust in the organisation. And if there was any left it is gone now, the spirit looks broken, the knives are out.

They will struggle to win again this year.

What is it about making the 8\. Does scraping into the 8 equate to success but coming 9th not? Embarrassment of a club. I will still support the team but becoming very disillusioned when the club repeatedly fails to make tough decisions.

There is no such thing as 9th place. 8 teams finish on equal 16th.

I loath Bunji for his blues jersey stunt, honestly after Tedescos pro Canberra stunt I would be extatic if we didnt make good on his contract offer either…. But Potter, he has hung tight, faced for the club not himself... I have utmost respect for the man, a man amongst mice, and pray he looks for money instead of loyalty, he owes us none. No sour grapes here if he finds greener pastures, I see no dishonour in looking elsewhere, its how you how you go about it.

I wouldn't deny him it either. The bloke is under a crushing amount of pressure and he has taken it all in his stride. He comes across as a classy guy in a game dominated by dickheads and dropkicks.

They always said Potter was a decent bloke, but the way he has carried himself and tried to do his business is outstanding. Whatever you think of his skills as a coach is one thing, but as a gentleman he's world class.

I think the only reason we have not got a new coach is Potter is an honourable man and will see his tenure out , this is a mark of a real man and having to sit in the coaches box with those white ants must take conviction. He obviously will not be here next season , a word of warning to those that think what will happen next year will be better …. News flash good luck with that unless Bellamy is coming , I can't wait until one of the assistant coaches takes over and watch them crash and burn before mid season .
