Press Conference

What I took out of that last section was the reporter fishing if there was something untoward with Kev not playing (discipline or something). The way Ivan said "Kevin?!?!" indicates to me that Ivan thinks its ridiculous that it could be considered.

Yep Kev is a devoted Christian, I doubt he'd be getting up to too much trouble that would see him dropped for disciplinary reasons.

The NRL are so dumb

Wheres the boom Mic????

Why are we always so behind the AFL?

Don't get me started on this!!!!!!

It is a new game that the NRL have adopted to add to the mystery of rugby League.

Listen to the Presser and try and guess the question. It is more than frustrating.

NRL could not run a chook raffle let alone a million dollar game that couldn't afford a lousy microphone.

I get sick of these clowns constantly asking him about Nathan. Must do his head in too I'd imagine. It's the bloody Wests tigers presser people! Can we stick to the Wests tigers?

If it was that worrying then perhaps Nathan wouldn't have been sitting in the Keith Barnes stand watching

He's playing Brooks next week… Attention to detail

Yeah because devoted Christians have never got into trouble or done anything wrong.

Why is there this false perception that people who believe in the existence of a celestial sky daddy are more moral than people who don't?

Why is there a false perception that people who don't believe are just as moral as people who do?

I'd like to to see the numbers of practicing Christians against non Christians non believers in our jails.

That sounds like a fallacy of the inverse…

What do jails have to do with morality?

I have worked in gaols, maximum security, B class and C class, and for the most part it would be Islam 30%, Christians 20% and non religious 50% as a rough guess, I am talking about practicing religion as in praying, weekly services and for the Islamics eating the correct food.

Pretty hard to be moral if you kill someone, rape them, steal from them etc.

Basically if you don't know … forget it.

Yeh right. Plenty of people kill in the name of morality. I know of one highly pious, pinnacle of morality that was locked in the tower of London until death. He was a christian. But hang on, the people that locked him away were also pious christians. Might be some shades of grey there eh? But lets simplify it so its easy to understand.
I personally know, and have worked with, two convicted murderers. Both spent time in prison. One I trusted implicitly, the other not quite as much, but both are decent people and I wouldn't regard either as morally bankrupt. Each had circumstances get out of control and both would do things differently now.
Its easy to simplify into bad vs good when you regard your own position as morally superior.

Mate I am not going to argue with you. You know what I meant.

You win, you are correct - you get the chocs.

Good on ya, have a good weekend.

This presser thread going well.. 😱pen_mouth:

Cleary always measured…

They asked about disciplinary reasons, and Ivan's response was an incredulous "Kevin?? No."

Suggest to me Kevvy is a complete cleanskin and that even Ivan was surprised.

Other sources have said it may well have been a family emergency matter.

Aaahhh….gotcha. makes a bit of sense then. Still, it's a constant in his interviews. I find it really annoying. Wish they'd stick to what's important with our club and our fans in our 5 minute window.

Not saying they haven't mate, I know some who have. Everybody can do wrong things, Christian and non-Christian. Just saying Kev seems far removed from the type of bloke who would go out of his way to cause trouble for himself or anyone else and I think that has a lot to do with his faith - you can hear when he speaks.
