Well I am old enough to remember the black flash and he was an exciting player to watch. I was at Henson Park the day he scored 4 tries - he was a sight to behold.

Me too mate he was a great quick player I even had a beer with him on that terrible day back in 1989 after the GF
he was gutted like we all were lol.

Funny you mention that, I too was there that fateful day, the highlight was at the club later that night after a beer or 2 or 3 I challenged the great man to a race around the bar {true} we got on our marks fortunately for me the race was called off..too many people plus all the building work so we called it a draw & had another beer ,hell I couldnt stagger let alone run.. Larry was a real nice bloke that enjoyed a laugh

Wasn't it a great atmosphere even thou we lost it was a great night! i went up the Keith Barnes and i said mate what happen ..he turned and said Ahhh well next year young falla!!
there were old Balmain boys old men crying in the Toilet, man it was a mixed up joint

I'm so sick to geath of every NRL match being played for some stupid shield. :deadhorse:

Really? I thought old people hated all the new trends in Rugby league.
