Well I am old enough to remember the black flash and he was an exciting player to watch. I was at Henson Park the day he scored 4 tries - he was a sight to behold.
Me too mate he was a great quick player I even had a beer with him on that terrible day back in 1989 after the GF
he was gutted like we all were lol.
Funny you mention that, I too was there that fateful day, the highlight was at the club later that night after a beer or 2 or 3 I challenged the great man to a race around the bar {true} we got on our marks fortunately for me the race was called off..too many people plus all the building work so we called it a draw & had another beer ,hell I couldnt stagger let alone run.. Larry was a real nice bloke that enjoyed a laugh :laughing:
