In terms of our recruitment needs, our juniors coming through are part of that process
We all saw Tommy Talau's debut but I'd welcome any views on our most promising ones from anyone who has seen a reasonable amount of them, including when and if you think they are realistic top grade players
Not sure if these are the top 6 but from the limited amount I've heard - Jock Madden, Tommy Talau, Bradley Kane, Alex Seyfart, Zac Cini, Jake Simpkin

Zac Sheerin is a promising young gun playing at fullback coming throught the Tigers' system. He is considering a move to Manly so we have to secure him.

Going to a club that he has Trbojevic and Elliot in front of him is not real smart in my opinion

But then again if you are good enough you should back yourself ....better than Tommy Turbo though ...we need to get this kid a uniform and a pen asap

@Curly_Tiger I think there are a few in the flegg u20s that would do well with an NRL off season under their belt. Logan Dillion, Jordan Main, Felix Smith and Ben Seufali look like real prospects. Dillion is a good fullback nice speed and footwork, Main is a ball playing workhorse lock, Felix Smith is a workhorse prop with a strong running game and Seufali is a strong running back rower. There is a lot of potential at the Wests Tigers club. It all comes down to the coaching, training and most importantly, making the correct recruitment decisions.

From the little I've seen I'd say Cini and Simpkin have the highest ceilings and Talau is the most likely to make it as an NRL player.

Henry Lealuga-Puhotau is one who the club rate highly, Cini has the makings of a good centre and Soni Luke looks pretty sharp.

@Yossarian Sey what?

Curly is partly right, Seyfarth is pronounced “See-Fart”... the name derives from Old Norse and refers to seafarers in the North Atlantic Sea being able to see their farts as a cloud of warm steam due to the freezing cold.

A young fella who I mentioned probably around 5 years ago as a good young prop / 13 is going to crack it ....in Crossfit

Bayden Brown finished 2nd at the Nationals after 3 and a bit years in the sport

Is it plausible that the small town of Gladstone could have both the male and female World Crossfit champions ....

It's that cold here in Bathurst you can see them too.

Cini goes good with the ball , needs a lot of work on his defence, but will get that with a a nrl preseason under his belt, Henry Leatigaga puhotau I don’t rate, massively over hyped imo, to seyfarth’s credit I think he has got better since playing cc, Bradley is not playing in his correct position and is real strange one, Talau well I’ve stated before imo is an nrl edge backrower in the making, Felix smith I hope makes it, I have a soft spot for him because he is old school, not taught the catch and hold technique, he bends his back and launches at blokes and physically wants to hurt people, has a very good left elbow when carrying the ball. Dillon is a rare talent imo, is more than pacey, has genuine speed, great balance and and watching a fair few games lives opposition teams scream his name all the time, normally a good indication of who the danger man is.Young Sykes is a gooden. I’m sure a couple others will surprise.

@fred Dillon is a winger playing fb, positioning is poor and looks dodgy under the high ball with pressure but will improve with experience and an NRL preseason. Agree on Cini. Stevanovic is getting better just needs more size. Wilson has been a nice surprise this year. Henry I’m still waiting for something. Smith runs hard but Fenn is a touch better. I like the look of Scolari.
The true star with this team is the coach and hopefully he replaces Hodgo next year.
All these boys should be congratulated on playing so well this year and are enjoyable to watch

@FOD001 Thanks for the information. It is good to know we have some talent on the way through. I saw a comment from Manly fans disappointed at the loss of Fenn.

Dillons future is definetly on the wing, however its not a bad thing for him to be playing fullback now. Often wingers in the lower grades are just dummyhalf runners. He seems like one of those guys who is naturally strong and might not need to put on as much size as othr guys to compete against men.

The way Cini moves is something you cant coach, he's just a natural with ball in hand. Reminds me a lot in style and shape of Turbo from Manly

Seyfarth has come on better then expected. I thought he'd be another Matt Woods but he's gone better in nsw cup then he ever did in NYC. Couldnt do a worse job then Eisenhuth does for us in first grade

I have no idea who ever rated Henry whatever his last name is, but Ive never seen him do anything to suggest he belongs in the Development group

@thegbone interesting and respect your opinion but disagree with comments on Dillon, looks very solid to me under high ball I would say he runs between 140 to 180 metres a game (I don’t know where you would get the stats from) along with Cini would be there best ball carriers. Seen him tip on to set up try’s, position in attack could be better but he did have to find the ball for the first ten rounds cause we didn’t go more than 2 passes. Seen him take the line on and beat sides with pure pace. I know Lambkin rates him highly. Stevanovic I think is very ordinary footballer , good goal kicker but that’s it. Cini I think we may have seen in cc already but can’t tackle atm, the amount of guys that beat him on the outside atm indicates he is behind others in defence at this stage.but agree is hard to handle with the ball. Can’t comment on Fenn, just haven’t seen enough of him, Wilson been going good I agree, but we signed Cini to a dev contract, Talau in centres atm and Hoffman we just signed , so I’d say Wilson might be 4th or 5th in line and was in sydney shield at the start of the year, who knows
