Protest outside the stadium next weekend?

Here's the only story I have about protests. Many, many years ago when my team, St. Helens were going through a really rough patch coach, Ian Millward (who'd won two titles before everything went up in smoke) was canned by the owner - Eamonn McManus. Millward was very popular with a significant number of fans and tried to leverage them to force Eamonn to give him his job back. Next away game in Hull the official coach made an unscheduled stop on the motorway and ... surprise, surprise ... McManus boarded bringing a ton of free beer with him. We journeyed the two hundred miles to the stadium together. I can't remember if we won the game. But we all got smashed and McManus won over the fanbase. Since that time Millward moved on to Wigan (where he almost got them relegated) and Castleford (where he almost got them relegated). McManus presided over the most successful period in the club's history with eight titles, several challenge cup wins, WCC victories etc. etc.
Lee/Justin would charge for the beer, gotta make a profit, let’s not worry about winning.
Are you saying the fan base was just those on the bus, what about the rank and file ?

You'd need 1000 people minimum for anyone to take any notice... Takes planning... logistics and timing are crucial.

It's be great and would.put some pressure on those that need it... But two dozen people with a few banners whistles and megaphone would just be laughed at and shuffled on quickly by security
Absolutely, you'd want a thousand minimum and maybe this weekend is too soon, but just putting it out there that we need to do something, in the next few weeks.

Even a coordinated booing for a minute at a specific point of time might do the trick. The 12th minute mark to mark 12 years without finals football, getting thousands of people booing (probably better than giving a brown-eye) would get attention

I’ve got a better idea, let’s not go near the stadium, inside/outside/anywhere.

Why waste your money any more, better to set up a fund for very sick and/or underprivileged children and donate our entry money, beer money, food money etc, coz they don’t get $500k-$1,000k handouts for doing nothing.

Unfortunately most of our team are a bunch of overpaid / imbecilic losers. We must start calling things as they are , and also, is Benji allowed to speak. Now he controls the coaches box may be time for him to put in a few words so we know where he’s at.
I wouldn't be calling other people losers if I was you. Go follow another team.

Just for once I would like to come on here and not read posts from disgruntled karens. There is an old saying. If you can't say anything nice about somebody, say nothing at all.

Off you go, back to the basement.

So accept what the club has dished out for a decade and don't question?

Off you go, back to your lobotomy.

It's a game of football, settle down.

Mate, you complained about the forum posters ,calling them Karen's and basement dwellers cause it didn't align with what you wanted to see. After calling people names you then said (lol) " IF yoU HavE nOThING nIcE to SaY BLAH BLAH BLAH".

And then add " settle down its just footy" lol. Imagine someone who types that out calling someone else a Karen. Embarrassing. Delete your post and hopefully no one else will see it.

I always like what the sunderland fans did as a group. Go to the game like normal but stand up and turn your backs to the game. Really good for tv. Shows we are the paying fan but we are not watching this shit.
Club can't say anything about real fans/members. You have to have passion to do it.

The only form of protest that would tell the club we are not happy would be a empty stadium
Especially since they are talking up a bumper crowd around the Easter Show.
Maybe our crowd can boo the team into the field, rather than cheer.
Or heckle them incessantly during the warm up !!!!

I got a text message from the club this morning, asking if I forgot to renew my membership.
Unfortunately I couldn’t reply to it as to why I didn’t renew.

Who's up for a protest rally outside the stadium before the match on Monday?
Protest against the board, Lee, Pascoe at the minimum. Demanding accountability and for members to have a say on board structure/performance*

We've got to start sometime...

*Exact means still TBC

Protest after the match depending on the result

Club still gets your money on the gate so they wouldn't give a rat's arse whether supporters who have paid to get in actually watch the game or not. WT management have already demonstrated for years that they don't care about their fans one iota.

No. But they were the influencers. You know - the guys who made the websites, wrote the fanzines and such (I'm the co-creator of RLFANS.COM in the UK, which - is still the most trafficked RL website which has ever existed.) At the time we were the fifth most popular webSITE in the UK with more daily traffic than British Rail). Eamonn was very smart. He knew the right people to target and it worked.
