Provan Summons: Help Farah win the medal
Adrian McMuray
Wests Tigers Captain Robbie Farah is one of the leading contenders for the Provan Summons award but he needs your votes over the final rounds to help get him home.
Farah has had another solid year, playing in every game despite an ongoing groin injury which at one stage threatened to sideline him for a number of weeks.
While he missed out on NSW Origin selection, he was selected as City captain in the annual Country/City clash.
Why he deserves to win
As a local junior, Farah is much loved by Tigers’ fans. He is rated by many as one of the best hookers in the competition and when he is on his game, there aren’t many who can stop him.
His consistency and will to play through pain to turn out for his side should also count in his favour.

What the stats say
Farah leads a variety of stats for his side, which shouldn’t surprise those who follow his play closely.
With 721 tackles so far this year (130 more than the next best Tigers player), his defence really compliments his attack. He also leads the club for minutes played, appearing in every minute of every game this year.
What the fans say
Juan from Balmain- “He had a bit of a quiet start to the year, but he’ll be an important part of our finals campaign.”
The final charge
The Tigers play the Eels, Titans and Sharks on their run into the finals, where you would expect a good showing from the joint venture club, who are primed to be a real contender for the premiership.
Expect Farah to play the same sort of role, but there may be a few different set plays trialled during these matches and you would expect Farah to be at the centre of these.
Ken Stephen Medal
The Ken Stephen medal recognizes the outstanding contribution an NRL player has made to the community over the course of a season.
Every player from every club is involved in a range of community activities, from school and hospital visits, to mentoring troubled youths, fundraising for charities, helping families in need, even building homes for orphans in Africa… each time bringing a smile to the face of those lives they cross.
The Ken Stephen Medal is the highest accolade an NRL player can receive for their work within the community.
