Got any?

Going for a saturday beer and bet with the old man and he demands a nice spacious tab. And i demand a good atmosphere and pretty barmaid. Know of any pubs that cover all 3?

Dad is at glebe, im at ryde and brother at five dock.

Hunters hill hotel comes close just to give an idea of what im looking for.

Out where I am Mount Annan Club Hotel TAB is good - doesn't help you though,

Closer in - Seven Hills RSL is what I'd recommend.

KS you forgot the most important thing

A couple of meat raffles and seafood raffles

A pub should be measured by it's meat raffles

If that's the case happy then Belconnen Soccer Club is a shoe in.

I dunno mate , Boat Harbour at Hervey Bay

The owner must have a couple of hundred head laying around burning a hole in his pocket

Reckon they did 30 meat trays easy

KS.
Given where you are all heading from I would say the Drummoyne Birkenhead at 206 Lyons Road would be the go. A mate of mine lives up the road and it goes well.
I would recommend my local, The Queen Victoria in Enmore but that can be a little tricky to get to and from on a Saturday due to traffic.

Yeh the old lions head is the drummoyne hotel, looks good Glen.

I dont mind the vic at enmore but i think u could be right with drummoyne.

I do like that they have chicken wings. Beer, tab and chicken wings….cant beat it.

How about bars for watching the cricket?
Gonna head into the city tomorrow to catch the ODI, can anyone recommend anywhere that'll have a good atmosphere, other fans watching, etc…

Id say the sports bar at Coogee Bay will have some pommy's watching the game.

Usually anything surrounding the SCG will be good for it

The Paragon at Circular Quay is the official Sydney watering hole for the Barmy Army this summer.
But most of them are probably in the foetal position, rocking back and forth, muttering 'Make it stop. Make it stop' so the atmoshpere may be more sombre than anything else.

My favourite punting lounge anywhere is the Dry Dock in Balmain, but I wouldn't describe it as spacious. The Toxteth in Glebe sounds more like what you need. Both are very relaxed and have great food.

If you're out Penriff way, the Pioneer Tavern is a decent spot. Tradies pub, but there's never any trouble and a few footy players are known to present themselves there. Geyer is there all the time.
