Put on the Coach's Hat

Should be interesting in the coming weeks with a fair few players returning from injury.
Personally I want to see Simona and Nofo stay in first grade they have speed to burn and are getting better with each game.

Apparently Lote is a about three weeks away and I don't want to see Simona or Nofo loose their spots you also have Lawrence and Aysford pushing for selection with Koro due back soon.

On a positive Sauce is due back in three weeks which is a huge plus , the coach will have some tough decisions to make .

As for next year Utai , Lote , Aysford ,Pettybourne and Moltzen need to be shown the door , it was great to see Benji show some form as well as Blair.

I know Brooks is killing it in NYC, but there is never any guarantee that he will be successful in the NRL. Moltzen was also regarded as a gun by many when playing in the lower grades, as were Mullaney, Miller and Tedesco, yet none have set the world on fire during their time in the top grade. I just don't think we can waste another season with makeshift halfbacks whilst waiting for Brooks to develop.

I hope I'm wrong and he takes to but our less than illustrious history with potential 'superstar' juniors has made me a tad skeptical.

Mullaney and Miller never impressed me in the lower grades particularly with their defence.
I would have no problems with Brooks playing NRL now.
Brooks is very different..he is a star. He and Moses will both be regular first graders in a couple of years.

Mick has a 52-53% winning record out of 200 odd games from memory. Obviously all from the SL but I trust him with our young players. Also playing 200 odd first grade games is pretty good. Like previous poster said I doubt many coaches could do a better job with the year we have had via injury.
