@ShaunMielekamp
As a longtime member and fan of the club I can’t accept the AD situation he has to go Monday morning. Refusing to play is not acceptable. We have to stand for something and any other decision ultimately will end in the demise of the coach and likely the playing group. He’s our best player however, no one is above the club. We have suffered long enough fans are resilient but we will turn if you take the weak option here.

Hi Shaun

NRLW
What plans does the club have in place to compete with the likes of broncos and roosters. From the outside looks clear that they are physically training in the offseason.

Second question is liechart vs campeltown
I’m sure studies have probably been done and if so what are the differences between the grounds as general perception is the 8th wonder is better.
Eg is the crowd just more vocal compared to a more passive crowd at Campbelltown ( my experience but limited and understanding each game is different)
What is being considered to even the ledger. I know winning will help but being a long time supporter I know this may not be easy

Kudos for spending time on the forums and reguardless of whether you can answer all the questions posed I hope it engages thought.
😊

Hi Shaun,

Is defending optional at WT?
Last year we looked on the rise and now we are in free fall. Whats the plan for more depth and players who actually want to play for the jersey no just the $$$. A lot of all these players who have signed long term extensions have gone missing.

What do we actually stand for at WT? Letting player dictate to the club? Surely if you do release AD you can organise a trade? Who will want to come now

Morning everyone, there is a obviously a lot that has happened and in happening at the club since I last jumped online. I haven't had time to read everyone's comments and questions but when I get a chance I will do so. I am sure everyone wants me to focus 100% of my time and effort to the here and now at the club as CEO which is what I am going to do. I appreciate the patience and overwhelming support that is coming from everyone.

I did want to make a special mention and thanks to all the supporters who made the trip to Canberra and also those who attended the NRLW last night. It really does make a huge difference to the club to see this despite everything that is and has gone on at the club recently.

I don't know if the club has ever truly expressed how much strength this does give everyone who works at the club to see moments like this - so thank you it definitely was something I thought about when driving to work this morning as motivation.

I'll get back online in a week or two and start diving through all the questions and feedback.

Hi Shaun,
What happens at the annual CEO conferences, is there an opportunity to make serious change?

Can I suggest two key priorities for this year:
1) Get that grub Isaac Moses banned from being anywhere near the NRL
2) Push for the reintroduction of transfer fees. That way fans will see that we are not seriously competing, but are a development club for those bigger, better run and more successful club. We can continually point out the profit we make from the payouts when our contracted players push for a release.

Great response to the press' Shaun - well done.
Not up to me to decide how to move forward with the AD situation but great to see the press kept out of it especially after the feeding frenzy aimed at our club and coach over the past few days
More of that.
Short and sweet.

What was said in the room, stays in the room.
They probably needed the feedback and even if they're aware hearing it from a player highlights any issues more, especially after this public whipping the club has received over the weekend.

Let's make the adjustments and continue to try and evolve.

Just wish we stayed out of the media for 12 months.

Hi Shaun, hope this reaches you. What measures are you taking to ensure the matters of the football club remain private, and are not leaked to the media?

When Shane Richardson was in charge, we never knew about signings until they were official on our website. We weren't privy to the details between player/coach meetings. Other than official media commitments, we were kept in the dark about these things until we had our ducks in order. I felt this was working well.

Hi Shaun
A player refused to play last week because he was not the 7.
A meeting was held on Monday and Tuesday he returned to work and was named at 7.
How piss week is this club and all involved?
Should the coach be sacked as he has lost all credibility?

@ShaunMielekamp The buck stops with you, your actually Benji's boss... This whole debacle with AD and Benji's capitulation is beyond embarrassing.

I'm done, I won't be renewing my family membership next year or financially supporting West's tigers in any way shape or form.

How on earth dose a guy walk out on the club and then straight back into the starting side at halfback the following week with zero consequences after trashing the club culture and his teammates.

I have never seen such poor leadership shown by the club and the coach and thats saying something when it comes to the 15 years of diabolical adminstration of this club.....

Someone should maybe archive this thread i can see no good coming from it after the team announcement this afternoon. It will be a journo lurker gold mine.

Dear Leader

At what point does the club accept that the current football program isn't working, and what objective benchmarks will trigger change?

What measurable KPIs are Benji Marshall and the football department being assessed against, and have they met them?

How many more seasons of underperformance are acceptable before the board considers a change in coaching?

Why should Tigers fans believe this rebuild is different from the previous rebuilds that also promised patience?

Why should members continue to trust the current football leadership when the on field results continue to decline?

The club for 15 years has repeatedly asked members and fans to be patient. What has the club actually done to earn that patience this year under you?

What accountability exists for the CEO, board and football department when the club repeatedly underperforms?

Can you point to a single area where the club is objectively better on the field than it was 12 months ago?

Currently sitting second last, If the current results are considered acceptable internally, what does the club define as failure?

What specific decisions do you now regret since taking over as CEO from Richo, and what have you learned from them?

What are the non negotiable performance standards for the head coach, and if those standards aren't met this season, will the club make head and assistant coaching changes?

If Benji Marshall coached any other NRL club with the same win-loss record, do you genuinely believe he'd still have his job today? If the answer is no, why are the Wests Tigers different?

What is your message to long-term members who feel the club accepts mediocrity?

At what point does loyalty become negligence? How many more losing seasons are members expected to tolerate before you make major football changes?

If the club misses the finals again next season, will you accept responsibility for the football department's performance, or will the explanation once again be that the rebuild needs more time?

Can you identify three decisions made by this administration that has clearly improved the club's on and off field results?

If the board has confidence in the current direction, what evidence are they relying on that members and supporters can't see?

Do you believe the Wests Tigers currently have a culture of accountability, and if so, who has actually been held accountable for repeated failure?

Would you be comfortable telling members today exactly what success looks like over the next 12 months, and if those targets aren't met in 27, who loses their job?

Will you commit today that if the football program fails to meet its stated performance targets, there will be changes to the leadership of the football department, including the head coach if necessary?

Hi Shaun, I presume that you have noticed this utter rubbish from that drunk Paul Kent. It opens up the question - who is feeding him this tripe? You said what happened in that room stayed in that room. So unless you, Benji or Pat leaked this garbage, it can only have been either AD or Isaac Moses. If it looks like a skunk, walks like a skunk and smells like a skunk, Shaun, old mate, it's probably a Skunk called Isaac Moses.

VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED - if you have a weak stomach for bullshit please look away now. The Tiger's defamation begins around the 8.50 min mark and runs for over 27 minutes with no evidence what so ever. Classic Isaac Moses extortion tactics.

You really ought to be on to Peter VL 1st thing tomorrow to report this scumbag Moses and demand that he be banned for Life! Then you'll be seen as the Best CEO in NRL History for taking a stand against this absolute scumbag! Good luck SM.
