" **Float like a butterfly,
sting like a bee"** :master:

One true sports person, who could talk the talk, and walk the walk.
I was helping at the Sydney Olympics, all of a sudden a large mass of people, moved towards a stage near where you got off the train.

The reason, Muhammad Ali was there, and being interviewed.
Once finished he got rousing applause which lasted for a while.

This shows me how highly he is thought of.

He is a true **" Immortal of boxing"**

A wonderful boxer and athlete. Even as a massive George Foreman fan you can't ignore Ali's claims to greatness.

I would say the most popular boxer of all time

Watched a video a few years back which I think I mentioned about on here

Had the 4 champions of the heavyweights Ken Norton ,Ali ,Holmes and Foreman from memory

When asked who they thought was the greatest , they said Holmes , Ali was absolutely fuming , his eyes were bigger than life

Will be a sad day if he does pass , classy man with true values

Great boxer who was smarter than his opponents and still had the power to punish them. I'm more of a Sugar Ray Robinson and Rocky Marciano fan as neither needed to big note themselves and use trash talk. Still Ali will always be remembered as one of the greatest.

As quick with his tongue as his fists.

When his Army IQ evaluation came back as 78, he remarked "I said I was the greatest, not the smartest."

And who could forget his protest over being drafted for Vietnam: "Man, I ain't got no quarrel with them Viet Cong. No Vietcong ever called me n*****." Basically put the whole Vietnam War and the USA's attitudes toward other ideologies in perspective there.

I thought he said "I said I was the prettiest, not the smartest".

I think he wasn't very popular when he was famous but he sure is popular now. Great athlete and comes across as a great guy.

Sadly he has passed….R.I.P..
