Never said it had anything to do with league. Given the topic. I thought it was topical that a club in another code made such a dramatic rise in one season

If we finish 11th this season, it will represent the third best 'bounce-back' season by a club following a spoon in the last 10 years.

Only behind Parra up to 5th in '18 and Titans to 9th in '19.

Compound it by us coming off 3-straight.

It's a fair improvement contextually.

Equal 3rd
2018 Knights finished on 9 wins and in 11th place eerily after 3 straight Wooden spoons.

I expect them now to win 2 out of last 3 …( home to Cowboys and away to Titans..)

If they do that it will be 11 wins ….yeah I would have loved to have made the 8…but I probably would have taken that at the start of the year …

I must admit it felt that way at times during the bloody Galvin saga. That whole scenario destroyed a fair chunk of our season, imo. The good thing is now the dust has settled we are soooo much better off. A little too late for this season, but hopefully looking good for next season and beyond.

Because it was.

We were specifically talking about how rugby league teams have responded following a last placed finish.

The reason bringing up different sports in this context is irrelevant is because the ability of a side to climb back up the ladder is largely linked to the intricacies of that sport or competition, with rugby league, specifically the NRL, being a comp in which it is notoriously difficult to climb off the bottom.

Whether its the cap structure, the time it takes to build a roster, the 'soft' cap that exists for strong teams or the lack of genuine leadership both on the field of in the head office; league is it's own beast on this issue.

So bringing an example of another team, in an entirely different sport, particularly one involving a draft, adds nothing to the conversation.

But, as always, you don't have to agree.

Of course you would have taken it. No point making 7-8th when you don't have a chance of progressing. The team isn't where it needs to be yet.
