This is a bit of a rort. Their season is realistically dead so they just allow their under paid star winger to go play French rugby for big bucks so they don't have to pay him as much on his return. Walking out on an NRL contract to go play a rival code should trigger a 12 month ban.

**Eels statement regarding Semi Radradra**

The Parramatta Eels can confirm that Semi Radradra has been granted permission to return to Fiji for a short family visit during the bye round.

He is expected to return to Sydney in time to prepare for the club’s next NRL game against Cronulla.

Semi Radradra is contracted to play for the Parramatta Eels until the end of the 2017 season, and has given no indication that the contract will not be honoured.

Parra haven't been too forthcoming with the truth about anything lately - will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Just from an outsiders view , but I've seen nothing that makes me think that Parra's mentality has changed

Ok they have managed to trade a few players to make themselves cap compliant

They will be back ending deals again when Hayne comes back and they will be trying any scam they can to fit their players under their salary sombrero

More reason that a NRL official should be at every club that sits down with players /player manager /club officials when the final deal is penned to paper and sits in on every negotiation meeting during the process

Even if this person was on $250 k a season it would only cost the league $4 million and would probably save the NRL some money with less people needed at HQ to be trying to dig through the aftermath of cap rorting

I really hope this is a beat up.
Recall it being mentioned a few weeks ago his father was too sick to get over to watch him play.
Makes sense they would let him leave for a little bit on compassionate grounds while they have the bye.
If he has really walked out it's even worse than SBW - he would have watched a few of his teammates get punted to other teams knowing he was going to do a runner.

Only a few months ago , Radradra was talking changing codes if he wasn't given the chance to play for Australia

Now Parra are almost no chance of making the 8 , and if Radradra left and came back after 1 French Rugby season he could renegotiate his contract once Hayne comes back

It may seem far fetched , but it is Parra , who knows , they have done some weird and wonderful dealings in the past , look at Foran's contract with the get out clause …....

i first listened to it on ABC Grandstand with Moore and he quoted Danny Weidler "Radradra has hopped onto a plane and told the parra officials he's never coming back"

if what Geo says is true, then weidler should fly to fiji on his own money and apologise to the radradra family personally. and then to the australian public for being the knucklehead he normally is.

I remember last year Sterlo was saying (at the time of the whole Foran might back away from his deal saga) that no matter what, the club MUST secure him. Well, they did and look what's happened since. A conga line of shady characters, dodgy deals and more smoke and mirrors than a fire in a glass factory.
