Tedesco if he can remain fit and healthy will be the future fullback of our club

He is as good as Moltzen in all of the areas Tim is strong in and far exceeds him in Moltzen's weak areas ie Handling bombs ,Positional and support around the ruck

The only area might be speed Tim is probably quicker from what I have seen

happy , as much as I respect your opinion (except when it comes to SOO), Tedesco has had 30 minutes against first grade opposition - and that was in the first game of the year against an underdone Cronulla.
People can bag Moltzen (not saying you are) all they like but his recent games at fullback have been top quality - and he is our top try scorer and only 23 years old.

Please explain why being our top try scorer makes him a good\great player Tedesco's support play will probably get even more tries for us

Not saying merely scoring tries makes him a good player but at least it shows he does get involved and knows his way to the line (and two of his tries have sealed wins for us).
Also not saying Tedesco is not a talent - but at this stage it's as you say - probably and maybes.
He's yet to prove himself in first grade ,for all our sakes I hope he is a champion, but there's been plenty of hype on others who have burnt out .

Todesco is an unknown at first grade level … For this reason Moltzen must be signed for the next two seasons.
Otherwise, fullback becomes an issue.

IMHO Tedesco is our 1st choice fullback, at #6 Anasta or Sironen will be preferred option (presuming Marshall stays @7). This leaves Moltzen either as utility player or a depth player.
My preferred utility players are: 1\. Utai, 2\. Humble, 3\. Moltzen
From Toyota cup we have Rudolph and Rowe, and Ryan has proved to be more than capable at fullback.
IMHO both, #1 and # 6 positions, will be well covered.
If this is the case, will Moltzen be happy to play in reserves, potentially whole season?

I think the reason moltzen moved back to fullback was because there was no one else who could play there the way sheens likes. sheens has always liked a speedy fullback out wide running at third receiver and humble couldnt do it. Brown never got a second chance there because he wasnt quick enough and ryan wont be put back there for the same reason.

I expect, with tedesco back next year, that moltzen will move back to half, sirro to lock and anasta to 2nd row. It would be one hell of a side.

Fact of life football clubs have plenty of injuries over the length of a season, if re signed Moltzen will see plenty of game time. I also think that Tedesco will take time and by handled with kid gloves when he returns in 2013

Yes biggy. Tim Moltzen is going awesome and seems to be improving with every game. Tedesco would have to be bloody good to be better than Moltzen when he's in the type of form he's found at the moment.

Tedesco was offered a full time contract for 3 years before he had even played an NRL game and was chased by a couple of other clubs that tends to make you think he must be pretty good.
Moltzen is struggling to have his contract renewed and that awesome form you talk about took half a season to arrive.

Given this was Tedesco's first major injury, his youth, and the fact he's missed so much football, I doubt he'll be in first grade come Round 1\. This year was a different story. He was charging in the second half of last year, and had a fully fit off-season with the team. I would be bringing him back through the lower grades. Let him dominate there first to get his confidence up, then bring him in to first grade.

However, I don't think this should be the reason Moltzen stays. I'd have Beau start at fullback, then move to the wing once Tedesco is ready.

I wouldn't be too sad to see Moltzen leave. Not only would he be an expensive utility, he's an expensive player for half a season - he always seems to take at least 10-12 rounds to hit his strides. Humble is just as capable for a fraction of the price.

I don't think he has a clue. How could you advise a client to give up a 3 year deal at St.George without securing a new deal at the Tigers ? Moltzen would be better off getting a proper manager to look after him.

They can eye him, but whether or not he wants to go there is a different story. From the outside looking in, I wouldn't be surprised if he's happy to stay at the Tigers for less money than what Canberra may offer.

I agree with Alex. Considering Tedesco's age, I'd suggest he will return via NYC either at the back end of 2012, or the start of 2013… He was gifted a start in NRL on the back of some great enthusiasm by the young bloke, but like we always see will need time to grow confidence from such a tough injury.

We know Moltzen is well ahead for the Fullback Jumper, and will be resigned by the Tigers. The key will be the value of the deal!!!

If a numpty club want to pay overs for these guys….its adios, they are not marquee players. We need to manage our roster against the talent that is coming through, its a dynamic game and change is not only necessary but inevitable.
