It's always around March/April, not that
hot DB. Water is the hardest part I think.
People eat drink from after sunset until
about 4/5 am generally. I don't really
observe the fast I'm not religious but
I try to use that time to cleanse and
support others doing it, I'm orthodox

I don't fast every year but when I do I'm not strict as some.
I work in kitchens so it's hot as, so I tend to drink heaps of water in the daylight hours.

I often participate in Ramadan. We often go out for a banquet at night with extended family. I'm atheist and that is the extent of my participation.

I worked in Malaysia for a few years and our employees of the Islamic faith were allowed to rest under trees. It was difficult - humidity in the 90s and temps in the 30s every day. A little understanding goes a long way. Airconditioning wasn't that common.

PS don't rest under durian trees because when the fruit drops it does damage. Also tigers love durian and often rest near trees waiting for the fruit to drop. Unfortunately, there aren't too many Malaysian tigers remaining.
