Rank: Fullback (Laurie)

Have him above at least 5 others on that list.
No way in the world is Edwards that far down the list either.
Watch how Penrith go without him.

I’d have him higher, but not much higher. At best, he just scrapes into the top 10.

You can pick a favourite Gunners….
He’s bottom 3, has a red hot crack - so did Corey Thompson.
One thing I hate, is watching him take dirty hit ups on kick return… he’s the slightest bloke in the league and we’re using all his gas bringing the ball back

It's the A and B defenders fault.

How many of those other players are in their first full year of first grade? That's the difference IMO. He hasn't reached his ceiling yet so I'm happy if he's top 12.

I'd definitely have him ahead of Meaney, CNZ, Edwards and Holmes.

I like Laurie but I can't see how he is above any fullback bar Meaney and Niu. Edwards and Holmes are quality players.

Holmes is a better player at this stage, but not a better fullback. Edwards looks good in a strong team, put him in ours and we struggle more IMO.

He's better than Dufty, Meaney, Edwards and Walsh right now

Fullback is arguably the most stacked position talent wise at the moment too. He's no top 5 fullback but that doesn't mean he's not really good. Only his first year of first grade too

Walsh single handedly won games in a side that should have been worse than ours…
He’s a poor mans dufty - a lot of upside, but he’s no where near as quick or can set stuff up like Dufty…
Would argue his positioning in D is worse than Dufty as well…

Can't agree. Walsh can do more flashy things than Laurie but he also struggles massively defensively and under the high ball, same as Dufty and the good teams targeted that with great success. Laurie is way more consistent than either of them and is improving his game a lot as well

Walsh might end up being better than him but based off this season id choose Laurie. More consistent and reliable, he already plays like a good first grader and it's only his first season

100% he's higher than Meaney and Dufty. Dufty is barely a first grader and Meaney was Dogs 3rd or 4th FB used throughout the season.

The tigers need to get him on an extended contract before he starts rising up that list in coming seasons.

Higher up than 15th based on consistency under the high ball and courage shown in certain circumstances (like getting out of the in goal that time, the opposition eludes me). Doesn’t pop up in attack as much as the elite guys and hence doesn’t have the impact. (This could be a reflection of the team as well)

Was impressed for a young bloke finding his feet. Happy he’s playing for the tigers.

Side note: Holmes has been underwhelming since his return albeit solid.

He'd be bottom half, but he's played about 20 games and hasn't come close to filling out as of yet.
I think he needs a fair bit of work in organising a defense, and positonal play in general, especially close to our own line.
But he's very promising, and no reason why he can't go on to be an elite FB in a few years if we support him properly.

I can understand people having him above Dufty and Meaney (Who tore us apart in a style that if one of our players played, we'd be talking him up).

But not sure how people can have him above names like Brimson, Gutherson and Kennedy (Did anyone watch Kennedy this year?). Edwards I don't think is great, but he does play behind the best team in the comp so hard to compare. I wouldn't be overly excited about him coming to us.

Laurie is a tough little bugger and takes the bombs well and chimbs in okay, but he would be defensively the weakest fullback in the comp in my opinion. Also,

Then you could also throw Jayden Campbell and Nicho Hynes and young Sloan from the Dragons in the mix , lotsa good fullbacks

Better than Meaney and Holmes ....13th with a bullet for me

The big thing with Laurie is he hasn’t finished a full season of first grade yet. I rate him highly has natural ability which you can’t coach.

Top 5 on the list are fairly accurate, beyond that the list is a bit of a mess full of hot and cold players.

I don't rate Meaney particularly highly, Edwards is safe not spectacular.

Laurie was good for us but has a way to go

One thing is for sure ..Laurie is the best we have in the position..

Missing him is major concern..given the lack of depth in the position..
