Ray Cashmere - another prop option

NZ Warriors Player Lewis Brown is no longer avaliable just agreed to join Panthers for 3 years. Would of loved to pick him up.

We had him but he was told he was not good enough for NRL by our coach and as such landed back in NZ

Wasn't he a hooker when he was with Balmain?

Hooker/Lock Forward/Centre.

He was our best hooking option most of the time but was a true utility as well

I could wear this sort of panic buying if injuries in one position were rife. But Galloway is the only injured big man isn't he?

If Sheens didn't think Moors was up to it, placing such huge emphasis upon an untested Groat with no plan B is ridiculous.

This exactly what I was thinking only Galloway is out and lets face it Big Kieth doesn't put fear into his opposition. My point is this problem has been created by the coach why haven't we got at least 2 big boppers in the lower grades I,m not talking world beaters here just 110 kg run strait and tackle types of guys.Sheens has been caught with his pants down he had what 8 months to secure a couple of guys,we have lower grades where no props are good enough to be promoted what's that all about?

Not sure why Cashmere is on the cards when Moors can't get a spot?

Add Al Schirnack to that list. Going way outside the square when 2 able replacements are in NSW Cup.

Al Schirnack had retired, came out of retirement on the request of BRET coaching staff and has had zero off season.

I can almost guarantee he will never pull on the WT jersey again.

Had no idea, any reason he wouldn't be more than 24 would he?

It really makes you think what Sheens saw that none of us saw in Moors perforamnce in Round 2 he didn't like

If we do sign Cashmere I think we need to face the inevitable …...Something is seriously wrong

We need impact

Cashmere doesn't supply that unfortunately

Even Sheens would not sign Cashmere! :crazy
What ever happened with Mason?
He still hasn't signed anywhere yet.

ahh well as long as he goes foward and makes tackles i don't mind, i still don't understand why Mat Bell get's next no game time…. I wonder what matt Orford is up to atm lol.

Please compare apples with apples. Mason and Moors are best suited to being wide runing second rowers. The Great Man Cashy is an old fashioned prop

Ray has definitley signed but is subject to getting a release from the Illawarra Cutters who are playing hardball, maybe it's to do with them still being pissed over the Moltzen drama.

Where is the peiod where the fans and so forth get consulted about this potential recruitment?

If there is one thing that would make me reconsider my membership status it is not a controversial off field figure it is taking monumental steps backwards in our recruitment like this

I wouldn't be against him signing but only on a second tier contract. He could do a job short term i don't doubt, but if we were relying on him for most of the season then i'd have to assume injuries were the reason why? All goes to plan he could fill in until Keith got back, then back to reggies and at least apply pressure to our bench props.
