Ray Warren picks Wests Tigers to take the comp

During the All-Stars game Gus asks Ray Warren who he would pick for man of the match? Rabs replies “Matthew Scott”. Gus then asks Rabs which club he supports? Rabs first response is “Rugby League”. Gus continues to badger Ray Warren and he finally replies and says “put down Wests Tigers, put them down, they’re my tip to take the title”.

Fair enough. Seeing as though we are 2nd favourites at most TAB agencies it's hardly come from left field though.

I'd rather them be talking about us as possible winners then also-rans.
 
That was my highlight of the night, Poor old Fults. He looked very out of place tonight.
 
Also heard this & it put a smile on my face,
No way I would've voted for Scott though,
I chose Uate but Dugan was my #2, they were both amazing tonight. most impressive on field IMO.

Although i am not one that has alot of experience with tipping the team to take out the title… but i would say ray warren would be one i would make my decision from! and from his tone, it didnt sound like he was mocking us, it sounded very serious.

100% correct.
He is also one of the worst punters you could ever meet. Lets hope he keeps his money off the tigers.
 
Most people have us in the top three and that worries me. We play best when we have the under dog tag. Also Iam not blinded by our finals charge in 2010, I remember some very average performances too. Its a very fine line between winning and bombing out.

Dont get me wrong, I think we are in for a good season, but the players have to have their heads screwed on and all this press can mess with the mind. They have to take a leaf out of the dragons book and develop a ruthless style based on week in and out consistency.
 
The way the team bowed out last year should give them enough motivation to be more ruthless this year than last year.
 
I like that we are in the forefront of peoples minds as contenders.

A lot to happen between now and making the Semis…

He supports Parra as a hangover from the Sterling days. Wests are actually his second team. Warren's son played a few games of first grade for Wests in the early 90's.

Mr Bakerloo is correct….....Rabs loooves the WESTS Tigersssss..esp as Gus would say...On a Sunny Sunday afternoon at the rectangle....

His son also played for Parramatta Marist
