Me too, being a doctor is a tough job that comes with a lot of responsibility and often little reward. My mother was a doctor who specialised in dermatology for over 50 years, so I’ve grown up with MJA and AMA journals, papers, patients, and her research all my life.

Alzheimer’s also affected my grandad, so I’m very conscious of both the genetic and contact sports effects.

Are you a doctor KevB?
No mate, but I have been to plenty though. I have had 3 mates die of motor neurone disease, and currently a mate has a neurodegenerative disease (frontal lobe dementia). I also worked for over 20 years working with war veterans, assisting them with claims for various medical conditions. This required understanding specialist doctors' reports on diagnosis and causation. It doesn't make me an expert though.
To my knowledge, Craig Bellamy has only stated he has a neurodegenerative disease, which covers other conditions besides MND.
