Rd 26 live game discussion

I think it's more about the Broncos club than the coaches up there. Always got the talent but maintaining motivation in recent times appears to be a problem for all the coaches.

Just how bad are the Broncos and Madge ?
Storm had 49% ball, 69% completion and 18 errors as well as
a " 6 again " count 9-2 in favour of Broncos yet
Storm score 46 points and inflict 9th straight defeat at Suncorp on the Broncos at home .
Surely Madge must be on shaky ground !
As of this morning Broncos are last for points conceded
They have just 7 wins including a very lucky 1 point win over the Tigers

The facts remain that the only club he has failed at is here and he has been a success at National and State level.I understand that he has obvious issues as a coach (they all wear out their welcome after time) but he has failed ONLY here to get results.
You should probably say the only club hes had no success at is here...because he also failed at souths and brisbane, eventually.
This season is a record breaking failure for him

Why would you care?
I've always admired the Broncos and the strong rosters the club has assembled over the years. I recall the brilliant Broncos recruitment officer, the late Cyril Connell, and the players he brought to the club Hancock, Carne, Renouf, Lockyer etc. As a rugby league supporter, it was good to see and a benchmark for the WTs to match.

Madge needs to be studied. There’s never been a coach to go off the rails like him. And it’s not a one off. The fact it’s a trend makes it almost impossible to believe. Seems like a nice enough guy. Recorded a message for our club after they sacked him for James Tamou’s 300th game. But something about him is seriously off to lose the players only months after winning a premiership with them.

Well he never got on the rails at the WTs to fall off

That 6 again count against the Storm was insane. I thought we had it bad!

Voss last night said the Broncos are losing 10 players at seasons end .....I knew about Haas , Reynolds and Anderson ....who are the other seven ??
Corey Jensen (retirement)
Delouise Hoeter (Not sure?)
Jesse Arthurs (Superleague)

All farewelled last night with Renno

+ Payne (Souths)
Anderson (NZ)
Shibasaki (Perth)

How did this go? I didn’t watch it. I’ve read a lot of negative feedback. That the players supposedly gave it the middle finger. Why would you want to give away possession. Especially in today’s game. Momentum is everything.
Broncs had three or four succesive tries put on them, soce was like 24-6 or something Storms way yet they kept kicking off
Storm are pretty good at short kick offs practising catching high ball AFL style maybe thats why they opted against it

You asked why would team’s want to give away possession and that momentum is everything.

I think that is exactly why the NRL is trialling this. So the team conceding can opt to receive the ball, therefore gaining possession and hopefully stopping momentum.
