Form doesn't account for much atm
No one could have anticipated how poorly Penrith played against the Dogs and they looked like a different footy team to what they had produced prior to that game.
Can usually tell in the first 20 mins if we are on however this season with our slow starts that's not even a good measure. All I know is you need some luck, rub of the green with bunker and refs, and a fair share of possession to remain in with a shot.

I wouldnt be surprised if he fights it and wins
I didnt think it was that bad
Broncos skipper Pat Carrigan is facing a two-game ban for a high shot on Cowboy Tom Chester in the 10th minute of Friday night's epic derby at Suncorp Stadium.

As this is Carrigan's second offence of this nature, the Grade 2 charge carries a two-game ban with an early guilty plea. Should Carrigan fight the charge and be found guilty at the judiciary he will be suspended for three games.

A two-game suspension would see Carrigan miss the Round 7 clash with Wests Tigers and Round 8 against the Bulldogs.

Given the gambling saturation it would be naive, and possibly irresponsible, to not consider manipulation would enter the game.

The Cowboys v Tigers where the ref went chasing a captain's challenge after the bell was a certainty. There was talk of a $100,000 bet on the Cows that day. In that instance it looked like the ref in on something.

People are constantly perplexed about bunker decions, also the amount of scrutiny some tries get over others.

That huge knock back in the Dogs v Penrith, the bunker audio literally says the ball travelled towards the Dogs deadball line, when everyone saw the ball land in the opposite direction.

Dunno if this is legit or not

NRL physio instagram group:

Jordan Riki definitely had something late in the game - was limping around before coming off with 6 to go. No mechanism I could find though

Severely depleted yet they still nearly beat the high flying Cowboys! Can’t underestimate them even without their best.
3 times wooden spooners in the last 4 years. Doubt they would underestimate the NRL mascots if they played against them 😆

It's more to do with new players coming in and timing being out is all

There were a few calls that I thought were blatantly in favour of the Broncos. eg. a forward pass that led to a Brocos try and Klown signalling a forward pass by the Cows that looked like a definite scoring opportunity and looked nowhere near forward to me at least.

Both in the second half.

When I see other teams getting the back calls I really do think it's rigged

They really wanted the Broncos to win last night but most weeks they do

I wonder how do we beat the ref next week

Yeah worry about Newcastle first. The attack is still not right even though we have scored some points.
Exactly. 1 game at a time. We haven’t won 3 in a row since 2018? That’s a fat monkey.

There’s been some big swing in form from games so far this year. Look at the dogs and Penrith. Look at manly and cowboys. It’s a very even comp. Injuries and rule changes are keeping the bookies on their toes.
