Rd. 7 NRL discussion *Spoilers*

Golden point is a blight on the game.
I totally agree. Maybe still have 10 mins extra time but field goals & penalty kicks can't be taken, forcing teams to score a try to win. If after the 10 no one crosses the line then split the points.
At the arse end of a game players are fatigued so they will throw caution to the wind and throw passes they would not normally pass, go for 40/20s and even try a chip over the defence, it would be exiting for the fans & a fairer way of deciding a game that's a draw after 80 mins.

Was Nikorima's tackle a hip drop? Looked like a good old fashioned leg tackle to me.

The punishment is being based on the injury, not the tackle.
The sin bin was bloody stupid. As you said, it was just a good old fashioned around the legs tackle. Injuries happen, it’s a contact sport.

Being penalised for performing what is essentially a copy book tackle just because someone is injured is everything that is wrong about the game nowadays.

It's becoming like soccer now too, players staying down for the slightest of head contact.
