Might be asking a bit much of McIlwrick to play 80\. Liddle definitely doesn't have 80 minutes in him.

Like most everyone, I'd prefer 3 pigs on the bench with another player that could cover backrow and centre (like Marsters). But I don't see Liddle or Killer being ready for 80 minutes in the short term, and I'm not sure playing Taylor for a spell at hooker is the answer either.

I suspect we'll have 2 hookers for a while yet.
 
If either of our hookers cant do 80 minutes,lets not choose BOTH in the 17…Benji/Reynolds/ET are a better solution is my point
 
back row of Aloiai, McQueen, Eisenhuth for mine. Which looks big and strong..
Taylor to the bench to cover DH or backrow. Only problem is . If you have Taylor and Benji on the bench (with Two Props) it’s quite a light bench .
A few good players will miss out on the. 17 at the start of the year. Possibly Benji, Marsters , Sue , MZW , Naiqama , Lawrence

Best team I reckon, tho I would maybe drop Sue for Benji as he is much more versatile. We don't need another hooker on the bench, there are plenty of options in that team who could replace Liddle if he tires, but I would be leaving both Twal & Grant there, as Matulino & Packer can't play big minutes so 4 props is a must!

All that said, I have a feeling the coach will start the season with McIllwick at dummy half.
 
I'm betting against any major surprises, but there are still doubtful areas. Will Liddle and Suli be fit? 2nd hooker or utility? Who will be 2nd winger? Will someone miss out for Lawry?

Plus the inevitable pre-season injury. Surely someone will be out for 10 weeks in some innocuous manner,
 
Liddle plays 60 minutes ET 20 at dummy half, an extra forward on the bench.
Someone like Marsters who can cover a Center spot.

He doesn't have the early kick return / hit up power of a Fonua

Very important in the modern game

Did you watch the round 23 game against Manly? Uate rolled over him twice and scored both times.

I'll get shot down for this, but I really liked MWZ after he got a few runs in the top grade with us. I don't really get how people rate his brother so much higher than him.
 
He hasn't made too many people's sides here, but there's no way Chris Lawrence is in for a year in reggies. He'll be in the 17 somewhere.

He will be in the run on side if fit, not sure where I sit with him at this stage, but he will get picked. Problem with Chris, his body hits the wall very quickly. He will start off the season well, but soon as the grind sets in after about 8 rounds his body is shot. Hope I am wrong because he is one player who deserves some luck
