I'll be calling for the Coaches head if Gamble is not there by Rd 2..

And if he picks Naiqama in the centres he's lost me for good..

You've always been fickle. Can't even keep your man crush avatar consistent! Bring back Tapau.

Josh next week…the Aloiai variety...

**HUSH, HUSH**

Which half and his coach are at loggerheads over team selections?

This player wants to swap a member of their spine with a rookie as they’ve struck up quite the combination at training but the coach won’t budge.

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/private-ryan-titans-sharp-shooter-emerges-rabbits-rising-star-next-priority/news-story/c38532e807fbe91054dde766dbfc5028

Who are we thinking? To do with Moses? Robbie? Cleary Junior? Couldn't be a current Tigers player, as Brooks is our half and arguably of our spine he's on the most shaky ground of all.

My thoughts are it is either Ash Taylor, Milford, Foran or Reynolds

The way Grub played the other night I doubt it is him.

A. Reynolds, not J

Yes. We have options if Liddle goes off. Need a utility player on th e bench. Not a hooker.

Could use Benji in that role, similar to how Broncos used him off the bench.

Two props, a big backrower and a utility would be my ideal bench. No second hooker.
If every one is fit for R1 then Benji first up as the utility. If a half (Brooks or Reynolds) does a hammy or calf during the season, then the next round Benji to start in the halves and I'd slot Gamble into the bench utility role.

so a bench like:

14\. Marshall
15\. Twal
16\. Grant/sue
17\. Aloiai

??

If Gamble is playing good enough and kicking goals at 80% he may get a run at 5/8 with Reynolds on the bench. He would certainly lift the tempo of that game coming on fresh late in the half.
Some good choices Cleary may have.

I think if Gamble were to come into the side Cleary would either have Reynolds as hooker, or he will take Brooks place. Either or he look really good in the trail and is a pretty decently sized half from what i saw.

Gamble is 6 foot 2 inches tall and 97kg he could have played under 20's last year he wasn't a washed out 26 year old playing for Redcliff he must be included in the team at some point we don't want to lose him to other clubs..however I think Cleary will give him a few weeks in ISP and build him into the team as the year progresses.

I honestly think that we can roll the Chooks come Rd 1, our pack has the potential to steam roll the Chooks and have us come up trumps:

8> Matulino
9> McIlwrick or Liddle
10> Packer
11> McQueen
12> Lawrence
13> Taylor

14> Eisenhuth
15> Aloiai
16> Twal
17> Sue or Rochow or Grant

Can we play Thomas Mikaele or is it because he a Development player he cant play 1st grade this season ??

We have to promote Thomas in order for him to play 1st grade.

Can't play him on a development contract.

Liddle probably not available until round 4.

Hope a back doesn't go down in the first 5 minutes. (McQueen / Taylor are not good enough for that now).

People still don't have Felise in their sides? He was our best forward in the trial, which at least gives him a bench spot in my side.

No doubting he was very good against the Cows which was great to see, the kid has talent and we never saw it last year. With the depth we have in the front row, it will be tough for him, but I think a lot will come down to Matulino and whether he is right for round 1 with his knee.

Let's see how he goes against the Sharks this weekend and whether the likes of Sue, Matulino and Packer all get a run.

I honestly would not select anyone for round 1 who has not played at least some of a trial. They would likely only be able to play limited minutes and if there are injuries, we would be left carrying tired players.
All the training under the sun will not produce match fitness

With the 2 Hammy bros in the halves there is going to be plenty of opportunity for players knocking on the door to get a run.

Corey Thompson
David Nofoaluma
Taane Milne
Esan Marsters
Malakai Watene-Zalezniak
Tui Lolohea
Luke Brooks
Russell Packer
Josh Reynolds
Ben Matulino
Chris Mcqueen
Rochow
E Taylor

Twal
Matt Eisenhuth
Sue
Gamble
Coach :master: Ivan Cleary
