Im spitting the dummy….top 8 is bare minimum. ..not important what a crock...

Looks like people will be content with wallowing in mediocrity

It seems that some people start in a new job and always achieve greatness, immediately.
Never happed to me during my long working career.

I have read a lot of things in regard to our team playing finals football this year..In my honest opinion they have achieved quite a lot during this year with some early wins and unlucky defeats. It really has been a year that could have been although it is not over yet..
We are at the stage where we really have to put in during games and win as many as we can up until the last round..With Mbye making his debut for us this week and Farah playing at hooker where our service has been ordinary a majority of the games, this could be the injection of class and experience we have needed to keep on the front foot during our games..
To be perfectly honest I have been surprised by the attitude of the team that I haven't seen for along time that being that they play for the full 80 mins and for each other(Raiders game the exception,a one off hopefully).
The culture change that Ivan has been working hard at trying to achieve is coming to fruition and there is a certain positive stable feel around the club as a whole..

If we don't play finals footy, will we all be disappointed and spit the dummy or will we embrace the new attitude and culture surrounding the club and look to a positive future ? I certainly will because as many have said that we didn't expect much change ladderwise and roster wise from last year..the team has achieved much better defensive knowledge and have been well coached by a very football savvy coach…And many have stated that our team consists of fringe first graders and journeyman,I think they have done a fabulous job considering injuries to some key recruits have staggered our go forward at crucial times this year...

I do hope we can finish the season off on a high note, too many defeats will gut the confidence of this fine team, they deserve to finish well....they may not be a glamourous or star studded team from fullback to prop, but they have heart and I applaud the efforts of even the depth players destined to play ISP most of their careers, because when they were called upon the did their best....

Great post - written objectively mid week (not straight after a loss!!)
These guys are giving their all this season and they deserve our support. They certainly don't deserve some of the garbage they cop on here (usually straight after a loss!!)
20 000 at Leichhardt this Sunday will see the team bounce back and give it to the Titans. Tigers by 20

"Giving their all"

Care to review that statement after the Canberra and Gold Coast capitulations?

You got me - fair call.

I’d rather not write anything at the moment. VERY disappointing effort considering what was on the line.

As a tigers supporter we are conditioned to accept mediocrity and think 5 wins in the season is a success. So I'm happy if we finish in the top 16\. There's always next year.

Wasn't talking to you

At the start of the season, even though we were winning the results didn't matter. Our guys were working hard for each other, and everyone was putting in. Even if we were scraping 78th minute wins the performances were acceptable. That's long gone now and we are reverting to the mediocrity of the previous 5 seasons. I don't think we can make the finals, we probably don't have the talent, but if we can find that steel again then this season can go down as a success, and if we build on it in 2019 that can be a success too.

Thinking that 2019 is already shaping itself as a non event …a forward pack with mostly non performing players on long contracts and will be a year older ,Reynolds who knows how many games in him,Farah -Benji gone ,Liddle big question mark ,KevN gone ...unless there is a substantial influx of top line players I see next season as a goner already ...Cleary seems to be struggling to get anything out of them ATM .So depressing!

Thats the risk with this sort of rebuild- Signing a number of experienced players who were coming off average seasons.

You get an early siege mentality but it doesn't last. IF it starts to go to turd early then you can dig a hole for a couple of years to come.

In hindsight i wonder how many of the players be bought were great signings?

The only only I kind of liked was Packer and he is turning into a dud.

Cleary has had 12 months I want to see the team improving slowly (like they did back end of last year)

Depressing post.
Thanks for putting that into words brah 😔

Disheartening for us fans and idk how the coach feels but hopefully he feels like us.

We are where we deserve to be based on the roster. Cleary has developed a good culture which is clear. What we lack is talent.

Our fortunes would be turned around very quickly but we need to sign high caliber players to make it happen.

We have 6 spots for next year if we can sign players like Taupau, Bukuya, Segyaro, Sua, Pangi Jr, Corey Oates we will come good.

It won’t happen with this roster we are 3 years away. It’s a rebuild I’d be surprised if we were a finals team befor 2020.

Very simple equation if you see Eiso, MCK, Sue, Grant, Aloai, Farah, McQueen, in our 17 in a year we are not making the finals.
