Reddy Axed...

CEO arranged the meeting and presumably chose the mediator. Are you suggesting the CEO chose a biased mediator?

From the CEO on meeting with players…

I obviously started here when the players were on holidays and I have certainly given them the respect of having that break. I intend to have meetings with all players on their return to training, which is the second of November.

My simple guess is that it was Reddy who told Farah he would be playing reserve grade, not Taylor. I think after the media storm from that died down, JT and the CEO mapped out the future of Reddy.

Just announced now so as not to look like a knee jerk reaction.

Only my thoughts

If that is the case JT should have stepped in and said something along the lines of form and behaviour are the credentials for NRL selection after Reddy said that, he didn't and he is just as responsible as Reddy in my books.

Absolutely!

As you 2 were both at the meeting with Reddy, JT, Robbie and Sam please let us know exactly what was said ?

Well it has been proven that the reserve grade threat was made, the CEO admitted it on radio, so I stand by my comment, JT should follow Reddy out the door

Then I stand by mine - Let us know exactly what was said otherwise your not in a position to make a claim of someone should be sacked based on a meeting you didn't attend

The CEO admitted on MMM that Farah was told he would be playing NSW cup if he stayed, how much proof do you want, or now are you saying the CEO is a liar.

I heard that too. What I didn't hear was who said it.

So why is JT out the door too?

Because as head coach, Taylor should of interupted, or at the very least said later that is not entirely true, the team is picked on form and behaviour, by saying nothing he condoned it.

How do you know he didn't interupt? That's if it wasn't him that said it.
And….Reddy is gone, so I suspect that got done with Taylors approval. You cant have Taylor making the crap decisions 'all on his own' and then good decisions (like Reddy being punted) being forced on him. It has to work both ways.

Taylor and Moss appointed a whole coaching team last year and it feels like Groundhog day with a new team again. This is Propaganda 101 or Job retention 101 whichever way you cut it.

The article below from nrl.com sounds exactly like what is happening now. Who is holding anyone to account at Wests tigers this is a farce.

Wests Tigers have appointed Matthew Cameron and Rod Reddy as assistant coaches alongside David Kidwell and recruited Brett Kimmorley as the new under-20s head coach.

NSW Cup head coach Paul Fletcher will remain in his role, as will ex player and video analyst Simon Dwyer.

Also retained are Tony Carson (football and welfare manager), Dr Peter Lorentzos (chief medical officer), Peter Moussa (physiotherapist) and Vince Marando (gear manager).

The club's high performance unit has appointed Corey Bocking (physical performance manager), Marcus Kain (strength and conditioning coach), Blake McLean (sports science and strength coach) and Keegan Smith (physical performance consultant).

Head coach Jason Taylor said that he's very impressed with the wide range of experience the coaching staff will bring to Wests Tigers for the 2015 season.

"We've assembled a team of professionals from a range of areas who we believe have the skill set and drive to bring the best out of every player in the club," Taylor said in a statement.

"The club has undergone a lot of change recently and I'm confident that our members and supporters will see a positive effect when we take the field for Round 1."

Cameron enjoyed a successful past two seasons with the Penrith Panthers as high performance manager 15 years at Parramatta where he held various coaching roles.

Kidwell, currently in New Zealand with the Kiwi squad as assistant coach, will go into his second year with the club.

Reddy, a former Dragons and Steelers great, is a veteran of 237 first grade games and 17 Tests for Australia.

Kimmorley has played 307 NRL games and has held assistant coaching roles with both the Bulldogs and Canberra.

Since the formation of the Wests Tigers NSW Cup side at the beginning of the 2013 season, Fletcher has taken the side to consecutive finals appearances.

Wests Tigers CEO Grant Mayer said Taylor and general manager of football operations Phil Moss have worked tirelessly since starting with the club and had put together an impressive coaching group.

"Jason and Phil have hit the ground running here at Wests Tigers and have brought together an impressive group of individuals to make up their coaching staff," Mayer said.

"We're impressed with the direction they are taking the club in and look forward to welcoming the players back in next Wednesday to kick start the pre-season."

The the new coaching staff officially start once pre-season training begins on November 5.

Of course Taylor would have approved of the decision to sack Reddy, it takes the heat of him. I never said all his calls were wrong or no good, but he is the head coach he picked his coaching team last year. Now after the poor year and the Farah fiasco, all the coaches are gone but Taylor is still here, that is just not right.

Not overly surprising, but I think too much is being made of this. Most teams have a healthy amount of turnover year to year when it comes to backroom staff for all sorts of reasons.
Assistants tend to move around a fair bit.

Hire the Walker Bros. as the new attack coaches? They'd certainly bring some spark into the team.

As good at coaching as they were as players. Also rans.

Difficult to score tries in the NRL running sideways.

The tryline is at the ends of the field - not the sideline.

Great to see someone with such an open mind ,

It would be a new experience for Taylor to take responsibility when things go wrong.

I am sure some team in the NRL will give them a go at some stage.

Then you will see how OPEN the try line is.

I'm not sure what you are on about? Their defence in the semis and two finals was as good if not better than any team in the nsw or qld cups.
The game needs a change away from the wrestling and dull boring way of playing.
I'm no expert , but I could live with a more adventureist approach to playing in the NRL , and so probably would the hordes of supporters who have stopped going to boring games.
At least these two guys were brave enough to go outside the accepted grinding rubbish that we see every week. And It wouldn't mind betting that other Coaches are looking at videos of their games in the off season.
I'm not saying that we will see copies of them in the NRL, but we may see some aspects of their game come into the League. Hope so anyway

It appears the people who were sacked were held accountable. Would you prefer that we kept exactly the same coaches? We tried some coaches, some didn't work out and we've replaced them. It's a pretty common situation. The same will happen to Taylor in a year or two if we don't have some success.

Absolutely agree - and in light of the events at other clubs recently in regard to retaining coaches it would seem that it is pretty standard procedure, and not something exclusive to our club - as has been argued on this forum. Its simply a results based game and the first people in the firing line, seem to be the coaches at all clubs. Taylor simply has to somehow get this team off the bottom of the ladder - Cleary and Stone both gone - the other two worst performing teams - the pressure is on
