No Tigers news over xmas mate, good time for a spell. Good to see the clubs big New Years resolution was to punt one of our many reggies players.

If he was only ever going to be reggies player standard then good move shuffling him on out of our top 30 and hopefully replacing him with a proven performer. Nothing against the kid though, good luck to him at the Dogs.

Gotta be ruthless going forward. No more mediocre (or less)

He's already better than Laurie in some ways, much faster, a better support player and more elusive. He's got work to get stronger, playing against men each will help him work on his defence and under the high ball.

There's a lot of Papenhuyzen about him, he just needs time, a year in NSW cup is perfect for him, if he's dominating then sign him up to a 2 year deal

The hype train around this kid is out of control, He wasn't kept at Penrith for Dylan Edwards....
Think about that for a second...
Is Dylan Edward even in the top half of FB's in the comp? Doubtful....
Yet he was kept over Laurie by the club that bought them both through.

Laurie has a long, long way to go to make it as a permanent top grade FB in my opinion...
I can see Logan rounding him up mid season if he stays fit.

Kid can play that's for sure.
I think his ceiling is much higher than Laurie's.
Time will tell though.

I think if he spends 2022 just building defensive skills, he could have a break out first grade year for 2023... if all goes to plan.

He is 21 I think, talking to guys involved with Flegg last year it was explained to me that there has always been doubts about his size, lambkin actually said he was always an elite junior coming through with burton, talau, Staines, averillo, Crichton,Saab etc….. but even after being one of the leading tackle breakers and try scorers through Matt’s and ball, he was overlooked for nsw selection at age level because of his size or lack of it. Is he going to be another papehuyzen, who knows, do we as a club have the patience to wait and see if he will measure up, who knows, out all all the juniors and up and comers that we have, through performances does he deserve a chance, sure does.

I don't see Laurie as a star. I'm hopeful Hastings and Gildart are quality players. I feel reasonably confident with Hastings. I'm hopeful Gildart is going to prove that he can play as well.

We really need Hastings to be gun and we need two centres to step up. I reckon we could see Gildart and Junior Tupou starting the year in first grade.
