Meanwhile back to the voice. We have Indigenous men living 8 years less then the Australian average

What's the No campaigns solution here? All i have heard is a big fat Nothing.
If you breakdown the stats what you find is Aboriginals living in cities and inner regional areas have a higher life expectancy than their counterparts living in remote areas. Yunupingu died recently at 46, and although he owned his own helicopter and fulltime pilot. sadly he wasn't able to find a kidney donor. My point is living remotely has its advantages and disadvantages.

That's because the inner-city Aboriginals have taken advantage of hospitals schools and the colonial way of life.

These guys fake the outrage because it's easy these days.

I know 2 families in milperra Sydney that have told me they fake it.

I could say a lot but unless you've lived amongst full bloods for over five seconds and seen what goes on everyday you can't have an opinion.
I agree and that's what I find sad about the referendum in many ways.

Roughly 3.8% of the Australian population is Aboriginal. This referendum is going to effect them a lot more then most people.

I know many city slickers who have never met anyone Aboriginal.
I strongly suspect many Australians will be making their decisions in ignorance of the issues effecting Aboriginal communities.

I have being that I lived in Tennant Creek for over two years as the IT Manager for an Aboriginal Health Service - some of the things I saw there are not fit for publication. I also spent two years working for Centrebet in Alice, Alice for me was far worse than Tennant considering in Alice I had a town camp bordering where I lived. Then I lived in Leonora for ten years and the only time there were problems was when outlying tribes would visit the town and they would get drunk and fight along tribal lines. Oh, and when your house wasn't broken into when you were at work. The most notable time was when I was in Tennant and I was away for a week on a work course I came back to my homebrew stash of 100 bottles being drunk and smashed all over the place was well as shit and piss everywhere, they also drank a brew that was still in the fermenter FFS.

What the actual. Imagine posting so many times in this thread, whilst not even knowing that race was part of the constitution.
So let me get this straight....I should know the entire Constitution before posting in this thread? I am firmly of the opinion that the Constitution should not differentiate on the basis of race, it is part of why I'll vote no. When you said it is part of the Constitution, I did what anyone who wants the facts would do and ask for the details which Twentyforty respectfully added.Like I said, I'd vote yes to removing that clause.

That along with others that are flat out ideologues, as clearly shown by one promoting a lie he has long quoted at the bottom of each and every post.
So I shouldnt post because other people you dont like post?

Talk about good faith, I always post in good faith, based on facts, just as I did above to inform others, including the oblivious you. It has been there since inception, still is, and the change related to removal of a handful of words relating to state powers, yet you try and contort that as well.
This is a straight out lie. No other way to put it and you wonder why I accuse you of twisting on ideology. Not only did I NOT contort anything, I copy and pasted the EXACT words, verbatim as they were deleted from the clause in 1967!!!!!! You are twisting facts, not acting in good faith, based on facts. The change didnt relate to "removal of a handful of words relating to the state at all. The change...and I repeat....literally deleted the words...“other than the aboriginal race in any State,". Literal copy/paste.

Its a simple basic fact and to twist otherwise is ideologically driven bad faith acting pure and simple.

Do you like Biden?
Me? No way, not into fossils. I find the American political situation really false. Everyone just talked in bloated empty rhetoric, all the elite people, very little awareness of the world, stupidly trotting on about American greatness. I avoid it where possible.

Important to spend time thinking about our own political situation. Generally feel I'm not well informed about domestic issues, so try to pay attention to us. And I think both sides of politics here are heaps better than either American party.

Very interesting perspective. So did you see anything that worked or would be effective in your time there? What are your thoughts on the situation?
