Remmeber when I posted our season would change Dragons game?

remmeber before the dragons game I said *we will beat the dragons this is the game where our season turns*
you all were wondering what the hell is wrong with mr negative Golden!

well we didnt win that game but that 2nd half was the turning point of our season we stuck around in that 2nd half and things changed the next week.

because that dragons game in the 2nd half he finally could see what we had wasnt working.. we didnt get smashed in that 2nd half just had all that ball and attack was awful but he seen the truth right there
 
Is it a coincidence that after 3 seasons of Johhny Cronk in the halves he finally goes back to 14 and we win 6 straight, i think not.
 
I will be sorry to see John Morris go. He would be one of the best 14's in the comp. It's a pity that Mr Sheens became so stubborn and refused to move him from the halves. :angry:
 
Haven't won or achieved anything significant yet bro…. We win a final and then our season will be some sort of success me thinks. So until then... seen it all before. 😱pen_mouth:

No disrespect but i fail to see how anyone could take a positive from that game other than in hindsight. They embaressed us that night, they toyed with us, barely got out of second gear and shut up shop at half time. The fact we "stayed" with them that night offers little. It's hard to pin point our turn around but the players have referred to 2 sperate moments lately. One was after the 14-12 loss to melbourne. A few reality checks were read after that game. The second has to be the mini camp in Kiama. The talk there was about our defence. They knew they could score the points but had to prove themselves and turn around the sore point their defence had become.

I agree Quintus and I will be sorry to see him go too.

I dont normally bag Sheens but on this count he stuffed up royally.

while alot of people like to just point to morris being taken out of the halves as the reason for the change in form,it is obvious to me that our defense is the biggest change in our play.
i was so used to seeing us allow points after a penalty got a team into our 30, i just conceded every time that a try was about to be scored.
seemed like it happened almost every time.
much easier on your attack when you only allow 26 first half points in 6 games.

and great thread golden,it is funny coming from someone who yelled wooden spoon in multiple losing game day threads.
 
okay, time to shout down turnstyle again here, but i would like to make a suggestion that the change in fortunes coincided with marshall greatly reducing his error rate….
