Rest in Peace Tigergran

From facebook

Message from Kay's kids: we would like to thank everyone for the lovely messages of support, we are reading them to her as they come in. She has now been moved to palliative care at St Vincent's and is as comfortable as possible as we wait for nature to take it's course. With love from Neil, Stuart and Jillian. UTT

I have been gone from the forum for some time but came back tonight hoping to see more love for Kay here. And indeed there is.

I met Kay in 2006 and she earnt a place in my heart very quickly. She has helped me thru hard times, opened her home to me and given me a much needed smile and kind word when needed.

She is such a rare lady - and for those that haven't met her I can't begin to explain why we all talk so highly of her… she is just amazing.

She has fought some hard battles and overcome them with a smile each time... she is a true tiger, strong, courageous, proud and passionate. She bleeds black and gold. I hoped she would overcome this battle and it hurts to imagine her not winning it, whatever chapter is next for her I'm pleased she is getting the support she deserves and I am sure she is feeling touched with all the love from everyone. She certainly has given so much of it out to everyone over the years.

I have never met a more beautiful person - and I may not ever meet one like her again. But thank you Kay for touching my heart. I am proud to know you and you are in my thoughts so much at this time. Sending you love,
Mish xoxo

That's quite sad news. I hope she is taking comfort from the good wishes she is getting from this thread and the knowledge of how highly regarded and admired she is on this forum.

I have never met her as I am obviously new, but it seems like she is very respected and valued around here so I'd like to offer my thoughts & prayers for Kay as well.

Get well, and soon xoxo

I, personally have not had the pleasure of meeting or chatting with Kay on the forum as I am relatively new to it myself, but as I can see she is very much loved by all on here.
I look foward to her recovering and returning to the forum ASAP.

If one of her Weststigers friends could drop in with a dose of tigosteron, I'm sure this would help.

Get well soon Gran,

Terrible news that Kay has been moved to palliative care. Thoughts with her and her family, i hope the club is able to get some players to drop in.

Not sure Goose, but the club is in contact with the family.

from wests tigers supporter to another, take care tigergran, by all reports on this forum it seems as though you are a beautiful person. If you have ever watched a film by tennesse williams, directed by eli kazan called a streetcar named desire, with marlon brando and vivian leigh, than you,me, us, will all understand the kindness of strangers. It makes the world turn around.

Dear Kay, I never had the pleasure of meeting you but rest assured I have read all of your posts with much enjoyment. I will be praying for you every night from now on. We are both Balmain and Wests Tigers mad supporters and would have watched numerous games together at Leichhardt Oval over the years. Be assured that I will fly the Balmain Flag for you forever and a day. Alex, alias Quintus who incidentally was a real Sumatran Tiger and my mate.

Thoughts and prayers go to you, TigerGran. We are all one big family as Wests Tigers supporters, and all your family is thinking of you.

I hoped for a couple of things to happen in my life in tthe last few years.

One was my son to play first grade with WestsTigers.

Another was to have Kay there watching as she met him as a baby faced 14 yearold at the Weststigers grand final luncheons she encouraged me to attend.

Great lady. As some football jumpers get retired in codes maybe her seats at the grounds should never be allowed to be sold again. Unless to her family of course.

All the best Kay and my families thoughts are with your family.

I rarely post to the forum but am often hear for my Tigers news and views and one of the contributors i enjoyed most was Tigergran. Her positive nature and kind heart is there in her posts for all to see.
I hope you are comfortable Tigergran and that your family is coping the best they can, my thoughts are with you. xox

i have never had the pleasure of meeting such an obviously beautiful person. thoughts and prayers are with you tigergran and your family

Hi everyone,

I am sad to say that Mum passed away at about 12.15am this morning. She was touched by the offerings of support on the forum which we read to her.

Thank you to everyone.

Regards
