I didn't know her personally but always enjoyed reading her posts. My deepest sympathy to her family. I'm just glad she's no longer suffering. I'll be thinking of her Rd 1 @ Leichhardt.

I am hoping we can all tell our Memories of Kay.

I have many memories…..

The most common was always bumping into her at Leichhardt behind the goals at the Mary street Entrance. We would discuss our trips to the game (kay's for orange and mine for Goulburn).Kay always spoke to my kids and always remebered their names which i thought was amasing. She knew every one.

The Funniest was on a Monday night against Melbourne when i was walking in a group from Balmain Leagues Club with my 5 year old son Aidan on my shoulders.I rolled my ankle in a pot hole and Aidan Feel on his head.Stuart and Kay saw the whole thing. They were the first on the seen,i remember rolling around on the ground thinking i've just killed my boy.Stuart was dusting him off and Kay was looking after him.He was fine but i had a sprained my ankle. I still went to the game and went to the Hospital the next day.

The Last Memory i have was sitting with Kay at the Fox and Lion in Fox Studios before the Warriors Semi - Final Last year.We where talking about going to Melbourne the following week which never happened. This is my Last Memory Kay sitting with her Tiger mates at the Pub.She was so happy that night (Before we lost).

Every time i am at Leichhardt Behind the Goals at the Mary Street Enrty i will always think of Kay McNamara (Tiger Gran).

My first memory of her (although we interacted on the forum for a while before that) would have been her rounding me up after a trial game as a tear-away teenager because I was holding up the bus, instead more interested in playing a game of touch.
haha!

Almost all, if not ALL my memories are of her smiling. She would always be the first to say yes to meeting for a pre-game drink or getting to the ground early, or anything. She always did it with the biggest of smiles.

A few of the mods met up for dinner mid-season and we spent a lovely night chatting and eating. The next day Kay met us all again at the pub before going to Leichhardt - the pub where her dad used to drink. She was so excited about finally being there, being with friends and going to watch the Tigers play. That could be my last memory of seeing her in person, but of course I am lucky enough to have a million memories of us interacting here on the forum. They are all very, very happy memories.

rest in peace kay

So many memories. All of them so good.

My fondest memory was seeing kay presented with her Centenary medal at Leichhardt Oval. She radiated such joy and appreciation that day.

The last time we saw each other was leaving the Warriors semi. As she said she was so proud of the team and there is always next year.

In all the years I have known her on the forums i dont think there was ever one negative post from her. Her class and dignity shined through every post she made. Her very last post was the epitomy of Kay….

Re: Membership- have you renewed?
Hi everyone

Of course I have renewed. This cost is first on my budget each year - added to any and every function that is available. Keeps me amused all winter!!

Add in petrol costs - works out reasonably expensive - but it is my hobby.....

R.I.P and condolences to the whole McNamara family.

i think it is worth contacting the club (i'm sure they are already aware) and see if we can make a special occassion out of our Round 1 game at LO against the Sharks.
