But they're not talking about a few hundred going by reports on TV news this morning... More than that

That’s good but think it’ll be a while until crowds will be in the thousands. Guess we’ll wait and see

Everything is not about money ! If paid members are accepted at a reasonable level to sit around stadiums at games it is a show of loyalty to the fans that have put there money in to supporting there club .
There is no reason a few thousand supporters in large stadiums could not be accommodated, there does not even need to be food or drink sold ... bring your own . Social distancing at the urinals ?

Considering the massive drama with the NRL barely being able to afford the virus and 6 clubs apparently almost going under I think everything is about money in this situation.

I just don’t see the point in doing it if crowds aren’t at a somewhat healthy number we can’t expect to be able to go to any games this year with everything that’s happened

Do you know which six clubs mate? I didn't hear about that.

I think it was Rothfield but as usual he pulls a number from nowhere but doesn't back it up with any names or facts.

Like all other sports, the NSWRL has not yet received permission from the Government to Return to Play for the 2020 Season.

We are hopeful that this will be received prior to 1 June 2020 at which time we will be able to advise when training can resume.

In the meantime, clubs should appoint a COVID-19 Safety Officer and contact NSWRL support staff to discuss individual club Return to Play plans.

Canterbury Cup could be back reading this...

If community sport returns ..can't see why it can't..

That Foxsports boss bunging on his spiel "we will have the best commentators"....then they cross straight to Corey Parker and Justin Hodges😂😂😂. Wow!

I see as part of attempting to get crowds back you will need to have the COVIDSafe app... what if you don’t have a phone or in happy’s case still using a Nokia 3310...

3310 ........probably the scoreline in tonight's game

Something else ...you won't be able to cheer , scream or shout ...increased amounts of saliva flying around

With increased blowout scorelines likely and the probability odf the gap widening between the haves and the have nots i would like to see Vlandys next project being the introduction of a draft. Its the only way of evening out the competition. Whether he has the gonads to take on the heavyweights is another matter.

With all the players wanting transfers as soon as they break a nail and with player managers like Isaac Moses around .....I don't see the Draft working

The NSWRL is pleased to announce that senior sport competitions, including the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership, have been cleared to resume from 1 July after the NSW Government’s latest announcement today.

The decision follows last week’s announcement that community football for children in competitions up to and including under 18 comps will also resume next month following the advice from government and health authorities.

NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden said the decision today was welcome news for Rugby League and all winter sports across the state and would help the community continue to heal after strict measures were introduced to control the threat of coronavirus.

“This is another great result for Rugby League across the state of NSW and I thank the NSW Government for allowing us to resume,” Trodden said.

Trodden said that training (in groups of up to 10) can begin as soon as clubs have complied with the NSWRL’s COVID-19 regulations that have been developed in line with the Australian Government’s “Return to Sport” framework.

More details about specific competitions in the regions and districts across the state will be finalised in the near future.
