As the title says
- It’s unbelievable how Josh Aloiai has great numbers , but is never around the ball when when our most enterprising play was on . Addition to this , Matt Eisenhuth was in everything at the back end of last year . Also Aloiai was massively good for a pressures on , let’s offload to the opposition in our own 20m . Manly are insane paying him 700k .
- how Harry grant would skirt across field and probe , killing plays at times . Don’t get me wrong , he set up as much as he killed , but it was obvious second time around . He’s definitely a build the team around me type player . Melbourne if they’re smart will do this l and we all know how smart they are . He’s definitely not a play off the deck half . He will be good with running halves like Hughes and Munster IMO .
- How much talent there is in this team . The most fun plays , were the ones where benji had very limited touches . I think AD is going to be a star at 6 . My bold prediction , is he will play origin one day .
- our one on one defence , especially with big units like Paulo and AFB. We have to work on numbers around the ball and locking down the ball carrier. Also , AD is not a fullback . He was really poor at organising the defence line especially . A lot of the tries scored gains us were merely lack of communication from the fullback to the defensive line , in where to go after a half break .
- BJ is a weapon ! He was so unfit last year , it was very obvious second time around . But the stuff he does ... he needs to switch in in defence and just be a net 0 . If he can do that , and just be a league average defender he is going to offer so much this year .
Our attack is really good . Brooks was in everything the last 4 games , mbye is way better at 1 and AD , makes the first defender miss every time . Liddle gives infinitely better service than Grant , I don’t want to hear anything else ever again about this . So many of grants passes were out in front , or slightly behind . He’s a weapon, for sure , but his off the deck passing needs work . Liddle doesn’t offer anywhere near the deception as grant , when he gets out of the ruck . The halves are definitely going to have to fill that void .
