I'd seriously be looking at Brooks in the 9

Nope don’t even remember him filling in there?

One of our strongest positions on the park with LB there why would we weaken it with an unknown entity?

A fit Reynolds that can play weekly is a huge positive , don’t be fooled about the hooking garbage in the paper ... he should be the starting 5/8 before Benji that said Benji will start the season there ..injuries will come the old boy will struggle next season .

I agree, and have said many times, if we are paying his wage, he has to be in the 6, otherwise move him on, if no one wants him, then he is our 6

From everything I have seen to date .... Madge just does not see him as our long term 6.
But it seems his possible move/ swap/ release is just not catching fire.

We have a fair whack of our cap caught up in utility players that no more than stop gap replacements in the multiple positions that they can play (Mbye, Reynolds, MCK)

@finnzo about as good as Blake Austin did on the wing for Great Britain last night.

This position is our Achilles heel, unless we sign a decent 9 we will go nowhere and liddle isn't it either, if we're waiting around thinking we'll be right when liddle is back we're dreaming.

Then I'm Dreamin'!

I would like to Corey Thompson given a run at Hooker in the trials he's quick of the mark can defend he could be another Damien Cook

I would really like Josh to get a injury free run to see what he can bring to the team but he is now in the Liddle camp and sooner or later we have to make decisions on both.

@hugh1954 what’s the decision? We are trying to get rid of J-Rey and can’t. He won’t be resigned beyond his current contract. I doubt we can move him on before it’s finished either.

Maguire made the decision on Liddle a few months back, by extending him for a further two years.

I think we may be able to at the end of next year depending on whether he stays fit. He will have one year left at $750k with the prospect of no takers beyond that. If a club (particularly super league) offers him a multi year deal next year, he may decide to take it up and leave the tigers.

Who really knows/ Reynolds might stay, find his spot in the 17 and everyone's happy; or, he might get a better offer elsewhere and things would change on the WT salary cap front.
Either way, we seem to now have a recruitment plan that is wishing to be cap compliant and more importantly, wanting the club to be the best it can be - and with the COE just around the corner, and with more cap space coming, we just might be the club we've been waiting to become!

I'm not Reynolds biggest fan , but you have to love his passion ......he just wants to play footy and get the best out of his body in whatever position needed

Yep he sticking to his contract, stupid contract that one. Imagine that one off our books.

I know. Take Reynolds contract, add another 150k and you have Frizell.
