Wests Tigers playmaker Josh Reynolds says he's excited to make his 150th first-grade appearance in Sunday's sudden death clash against the Cronulla Sharks at Leichhardt Oval.

Named at hooker, the 30-year-old will bring up the milestone in his 12th game for Wests Tigers — having previously played 138 games for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (2011-17) — and said he wasn't daunted by the occasion at all.

“It’s going to be a big game no matter what,” said Reynolds.

“I have the chance to be in a game that’s going to be one of the biggest games in the club's history and it's a good week for our fans.

"I can feel it, there's something in the air.

"Wests Tigers haven't been in the semis for a long time and we know the fans want it and so do we. That's a good combination so we're confident we can have a really good performance on Sunday and make that happen."

Frustrated by injuries through this time at Wests Tigers so far, the energetic Reynolds said he was looking forward to finishing the 2019 season a high after gaining some added perspective throughout the season.

“I’m a plumber by trade so this is a lot more fun that that," he laughed.

“To get 150 is unbelievable for me.

“I never take it for granted — I enjoy it so much. I try and embrace every part of it – whether that’s winning, losing, success, fans, everything.

Was lucky enough to play 1 now to run out onto a packed Leichhardt oval to play 150 doesn’t get much better then that 😍 didn’t come as fast as I would have wanted it but would never change a thing very grateful 🐯🐶 https://t.co/0DhVzWvZeO

"I’ve had a lot of perspective given to me this year, including those externally.

"I’m still here and I’m still smiling. It’s a rollercoaster but at the same time I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else."

Often viewed as the energetic spark for his side, the 30-year-old said playing at Leichhardt Oval — where Wests Tigers are undefeated this year — would add another boost for the hosts, and allow the side to built on the previous weeks.

"We just need to keep building on what we've built," Reynolds enthused.

"We’ve scored some really good points in the past two weeks and held teams so some small points against so it's about doing more of the same."

I believe we are better off with team we've played the last 2 weeks. Although we played 2 teams that have issues themselves, I believe this team has a different energy about them. And I reckon that comes from Josh Reynolds inclusion. And there's that old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I would always much rather see reynolds playing than not. I just get this vibe about him and I think he lifts people around him.

I am certain Farah wont play and the only changes to the team from the last 2 weeks will be Mbye to centre and Momo to replace Jennings on the wing.

Hope you are wrong, I would leave Momo at centre, he is a five eighth who can handle centre well, wing not so much.
Yeh dropping Jennings is fine, but switch MBye to fullback and Thommo to wing

💪🐯

He has 5 games to go this season 😎🐯

Love everything about Josh Reynolds.

Such a great attitude, so many players have a lot to learn from him.

When it was announced that he was leading, various media people on the footy tv/radio shows were all saying he'd be perfect for a club that is building a culture , great for a young roster and great for a club on the up. I kept on thinking to thinking to myself, thats us!! Why are we letting him go?

ive had no stress the last two games, i think im coming down with something :flushed:

all been laughter and smiles ( mainly laughter from ET's try :joy: )

G'day @Moh: re your Love everything about [Josh Reynolds]>>>insert Chris Lawrence. Such a great attitude, so many players have a lot to learn from him>>>as well.

In the future, people should link the article they paste as there are usually videos attached to them: https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2019/09/05/reynolds-full-of-positivity-ahead-of-milestone-match/

In this case, there is a nice video to watch. Josh is great with the media. Really hope he can be injury free next year. He is a great asset to our club.

seems a lot of people have written off our opposition the last 2 games.................people seem to be forgetting we usually lost to sides like those.

I'm expecting no changes to the top 17, except maybe Moses slotting in and dumping Jennings. I'm also expecting a win..............which is scary
