RHYSE MARTIN

Beware the Second Season Syndrome,
I love him, I got him at bottom price in SC, but I’d like to see if he’s still this good at the end of the season

People " in the know" on Facebook say he had "already signed for us" but people "in the know" on Facebook have very limited success in announcing signings.

I watched this guy at belmore. The Raiders made him look good.

I dont think he is much better than anyone we have in our main squad at the moment.

We Tigers should stop jumping at shadows in terms of recruitment.

We have made a habbit of playing overs and we are very likly to end up a basket case like the Dogs if we are not careful.

Created history in one of his first games being the first player to score 26.? Points in a losing side.

Game breaker

Runs hard tackles hard kicks goals has an offload wouldn't demand massive coin….pass none of that required at Wests Tigers... :unamused:

He's shown good form over a while now. He was great for PNG in the World Cup last year and has been good for Canterbury all year. It's kind of like us going after Corey Harawira-Naera last year (and it's a real shame we missed out on him).

- Martin has played 7 games this year and played the full 80 for 6 of them (67 in the only game he didn't). That's a big plus.
- He can handle a big defensive load (37 tackles made on the weekend with 0 missed). Averages 31 tackles a game and about 2.4 missed tackles per game.
- Averages 120 metres per game across 7 games
- He's made 5 line breaks in 7 games (and they were all in separate games, so he didn't just have a field day against a single weak opposition)
- He's made 16 tackle breaks across 7 games for an average of a little over 2 tackle breaks per game - not bad for a 2nd rower
- He seems to be a very good goal kicker (and is out there for 80 minutes)

…I don't think you can knock the club for being interested in him when we have weak 2nd row stocks.

He’s averaging no roughly 125m a game also

But we already have Aloiai who can play for 50 mins and make 4-5 hit ups and 15-20 tackles.

Why would we need another back rower?
