Looked up this bloke and actually thought “this could be a great signing.” No surprise when I read The Pom’s post. I’m so over our recruitment at present. Sorry for being so negative but I’m just fed up with seeing signings all over the place and we sign nobody of value - MBye being the exception to the rule

It’s not about being desperate, it’s about being frustrated. I think the club has transformed remarkably over the past 18 months but, in my opinion, retention and recruitment strategies Seem to be very average. Why? I don’t know other than it seems we are not a popular destination. Also, it is one thing to not pay overs (very sound financial strategy) but if that is what’s needed to put a top 8 team on the paddock surely we have to do that to some extent. Otherwise we will continue to trot out a decent, but not excellent, team.

The fact that you had to look him up probably tells you he's not top signing stocks.

Reminds me of Adam Elliott 2016, everyone talking him up when he came to grade. He's still a good footballer but hardly a world-beater or game-changer, and arguably overtaken at Bulldogs by RFM, who himself has taken a while to warm to the task since leaving the Warriors.

I don't know. A mate of my uncle said he heard that someone thought he saw someone who looked like Izzy buying a bus ticket to Concord Oval.

He wasn't sure because he left his glasses at home, but it could have been.
