I voted yes. Although his squad selections are a bit out there, he hasn't had an easy time with injuries and off field behaviour of players. He earmarked 7 players (Gallen, Pearce, Carney, Hayne, Lewis, Bird and Gidley) as his leadership group pre-season, and only 4 were available for game 1, 2 injured and 1 completely off the rails. Granted he did leave out Hayne, which was a dud decision. However one thing Ricky has, is every origin game he has coached the Blues have been in it right down to the final whistle, they've always been fired up and ready and they've always performed well, the only other NSW coach I have seen that with is Gus. Ricky is certainly a step up from good club coaches like Bellamy and Murray who we've had there in the past.
