RL World Cup 2017 Thread...* SPOILERS

LoLo has never had a season in one position and has been the main go to for his country, after half a season of NRL as a half. He should be proud of his effort, even if execution hasn't been 100%.

I'm sure he'll enjoy his Saturday night a lot more than the wet blankets.

Those pencilling Fonua into our side may be a bit premature.

Much the same as Lolohea

Scary bad spine at the WT's in 2018

Some big lessons being learnt today

If you don't have players who can create something from what field position your forwards get you will struggle

Tonga need a quality 9 or 7 before they will match the 3 superpowers of League

What fantastic vision and anticipation from Lolohea to put Tonga in Front…

Lucky they are only playing New Zealand...Suprerpower..lol..one of your best..

Yep gonna get a thousand intercepts playing fullback …..

Hurrell deserves MOTM , absolutely massive that 2nd half , what a game

Geez Tui cops so much unwarranted crap. Always need a punching bag.

I didn't see the first half but he was great the second half. One thing I noticed is he doesn't seem to panic - a couple of times his options were shut off but he still managed a decent play. I have to remind myself he's only 22.
Enjoyable game to watch, well done Tonga.

He was great. I don't get the negative comments towards him. He also seems like a nice kid.

Why aren't Noff and Sue playing for Samoa?

Both had off season surgery..unavailable..

Nofoaluma had a double hernia and minor knee clean out operations,,Sue minor back surgery..

Tui to me is looking calm and solid. I always viewed him as a player with the ability to do something special but he wasn't really composed.

He seems to be doing heaps of things right. I hope it continues.

Getting excited about an intercept try which he will never probably encounter playing fullback is over rating his performance just a little

Many times today he just ran into trouble in attack , he lacks the speed to take the line on , he's not a 6/7

Might be the nicest bloke in the world , doesn't make him a good footy player

It wasn't just the TRY…Lolohea found touch after Tonga hit the lead with about 5 to go. ..threw a nice ball to BMM to bust the line setting up Hopate's TRY...took the line on on the 4th sucking in the Kiwis D for Tonga to ice the game with a TRY out wide...

Johnson and Nikorima however..were they even on the field with the game to be won...

geez you are in form..

Well my original comment was aimed at both sides Geo , NZ had a howling wind behind them and didn't use it to keep turning those massive forwards around as Tonga didn't do in the 1st half

Can you imagine players like Cronk ,Thurston ,DCE ,Pierce etc not using that wind at all

And I stick to my original point also , that Tonga won't beat Australia ,NZ or England on a consistent basis without a quality 9 or 7

This creates some massive possible match ups in the semis Australia v NZ , England v Tonga if all went to plan

Tonga could really test England , but I think Bennett would never let England play dumb enough to lose to Tonga unlike Kidwell did today

Go Tonga , great to see the emotion from the players and fans , hearing the Tonga fans singing with 10 to go made the hair stand up on the back of your neck
