Don't know about homophobic . . . but yes, I made comments about the gays in that thread. My opinion of them was pretty clear. I'm still allowed an opinion, yes ?
On the other hand, I was blasted by all and sundry for speaking of the gays. The same all and sundry that demonised me for daring to criticise the gays are mostly the same all and sundry that thinks it's fine to have a little racist "joke".
So in the left way of thinking . . . you are NOT allowed to say anything against the gays, but it's perfectly fine to generalise that all Lebanese people are car thieves. :brick:

National pride is a myth. As George Carlin said, you wouldn't be proud to be 5'8 or have a pre dispotion to colon cancer. It's a genetic accident.

I disagree, try telling these pacific islanders its a myth.
You can be proud to be a part of a culture, proud of what your ancestors achieved, proud of what your fellow citizens have achieved and proud to continue in the same vane. I believe those who are not proud of their nationality have never contributed anything towards what makes it well known.

I think you relate to your most % heritage

I'm mainly Irish ,English and German and I would certainly think I show a genuine interest in Ireland and all things Irish , particularly the early 70's and the internments

Go you good things, I can understand you getting upset about a few posts as some people are exactly opposite to what their brothers are infamous for. Those who genuinely discriminate are not only doing someone else a disservice but also themselves as they could be neglecting interacting with a genuinely good person and conversely they could have their guard down for an ethnic they favour and thus be easily cheated by those they favour.

I did have a two bob one way and a quid the other when responding about the Australian Aborigines having their land stolen. I expected a bigger reaction to that than about the Harleys and Benz.

Particular ethnics have their peculiar modes in specialities of breaking the law. Covering 60 years of Australian emigration I could characterise about six specialities of specific ethnic specialties. Some were killing with knives, some were false injury insurance claims, some were terrible treatment of female spouse and of their workers, some of were importing drugs etc..

I could go more into why certain groups attained their notorious status such as their being no government in their own country to provide intelligence on whom may be criminals, so there could be a predominance of crims in certain groups.

If a person happens to be a cleanskin and proud I can understand them becoming upset, especially as they cop it often. Before posting I knew I could have written in opposite mode of many honest proud professionals I know of in Leb population but I did have two bob each way as I personally know people who were involved in car scamming decades ago and making false insurance claims.

I was proud of you for calling the others out but I thought it was an insult limiting Lebs to Holdens, I have never noticed them interested in cheap Holdens or Fords but I have been out of Sydney for a few decades now.
