Maybe ask Pauline at a one nation rally up there as apparently a good amount of their support base is similarly positioned.

From Fox Sport

The Kiwis coughed up their 16-2 halftime lead and were almost spectators as Mate Ma’a Tonga burst to life to run home over the top.

Kidwell’s response post-match was bizarre.

“I think this is a blessing in disguise for us,” he said.

“Talking to all of those guys in that shed, they still feel like they believe in what our campaign’s about and with what we’ve done with the commitment that we’ve had over the last three and a half weeks.

“We’re on a different path now and that’s where our focus is.”

That path now sets them on a direct collision course with Australia, who they will meet in the semi final if they can get past a tricky opponent in Fiji, who won’t be a pushover.

Star halfback Shaun Johnson was less apologetic, saying his team “blew it”.

Interesting comments from Kidwell… We have seen over the years in the Rugby World Cup that the best time to cause an upset is to knock the favourites out in the Semi's while they are thinking about the following week.

NZ were pathetic in the 2nd half and deserved to be beaten. They show'd they were a better team than Tonga in the opening 40min, but went to sleep. They should also be a better structured team than Fiji and should progress, but if they are thinking about beating Australia in the Semi's, Fiji might get them?!

Amazing how teams just can't play with the wind in the modern game Watto

Womens World Cup starts this week , lot of new players have come into the side

As a side note Watto did you notice that 2 Wests Panthers players made the Jillaroos squad but only one Easts Tigers player made the squad

Shame Kody House didn't make the squad , but when you have had to move to take a job in Gove and are only playing once a month it will take its toll

Kody herself would admit she didn't play well in the interstate challenge :frowning:

Congrats to another local Gladstone girl Chelsea baker on making the Aussies side

Only the English can beat Australia.
We'll put 50 on every Pac team but the poms have the forwards and the niggle to cause an upset.
I still think the 'roos will win without raising a sweat though.

Kidwell is a master coach. Surely next cab off the rank for a NRL job following the kiwis performances under him

Wests Tigers on the World Cup Stage - Quarter Finals…

Tonga
Tui Lolohea

Lebanon
Alex Twal

New Zealand
Russell Packer

Fiji Bati
Kevin Naiqama
Taane Milne

Good Luck..
