It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. I can't see an answer to all this.

The situation came to a head when Farah and manager Sam Ayoub met with Taylor and Rod Reddy on Tuesday night. While he may have been told he would be dumped from full-time training, Farah at this stage is prepared to fight for his spot as he enjoys the support of teammates.

Admittedly Farah is not actually quoted saying this, but if these comments been infered by Farah's comments…....here we go again, players trying to run the club.

Board and coach have made a decision.

How is he trying to run a Club ?
What part of he has a Contract and hasn't found a Club to go to that you don't understand ?
He wants to stay in Sydney for now and has a desire to play 1 more Origin series ( Daley obviously wants him ).
Your pointing the finger at the wrong person…..blame Taylor and Management not Farah .

Supposedly Farah is happy to cut short his Contract by 1 year and save the Club between $900,000 - $1 Million for the 2017 Season , Ayoub said it would give him the appropiate time to find him a Club in England , but poor old Taylor has desperation written all over him  .

They just refuse to admit that Taylor and the board have completely stuffed thiswhole thing. And look more amateur with every day that passes
Had The Faux coach just shut up instead of jumping up and down. The deal would have been done and we at least have saved a heap on 2017 season, and even hr would have come out of this looking a whole lot better than he ever will now.
He's trying to find anything that will distract from his failed coaching this year.

Yep, it could be yet another season full of dis-appointment  :unamused:
Only time will tell, and of course hindsight will mentioned quite often.

The thing I found most ironic in that article is Ayuob preaching to Taylor and Reddy about honouring a contract, yet his client in question admitted to encouraging a teammate to break a contract of his own last yr.

I'm over hearing about this Origin bs. If that's his main concern about not playing in the NRL next yr then why are supporters so he'll bent on him staying if the club clearly isn't his no 1 priority anymore. Is it because we're coming last? Would we be his priority if we were in the top 4?

You sound like you were expecting something different. We've had 13 out of 16 seasons full of disappointment.

Trying to keep optimistic, as ever.
But as we know, even optimism, wanes at times. :unamused:

Actually, the article read like it had been written by Ayuob's press secretary and Wiedler slotted it word for word into the SMH.

The propaganda war is well and truly on, and it is killing the team. I expect we will be lapped by the Warriors today.

Difference is that neither Farah Or Teddy or Ayuob did anything wrong or even unethical, he was perfectly within his rights to pull out before the time limit expired. It wasn't a binding contract at the time. Big difference in this case

How bad a coach is Taylor. This guy has been terrible.

1\. The spin. We all heard how his structures were going to fix everything.
2\. Taylor ball. We lost games because of this and there was no long term benefit.
3\. The handling of Robbie and his contract.
4\. Our position on the ladder.

I cannot see how anyone can defend this guy at the moment.

I can see the point of getting rid of Robbie in that he isn't an elite player for us any more however its not like he is a dud is it.

Mate I think one thing is now cast in concrete - Robbie won't be here next year.

If the board are willing to pay most of Robbie's contract if he plays somewhere else, then they will pay him out in full so he hasn't got a chance to destabilise in the off season.

There is no way that Robbie can be here after next week. The club have stood solid with their decision all week. Not once have I heard any conciliatory talk from Tiger's management about a rethink.

If it was actual fact the Farah's manager offered the club a deal to make 2016 his swan song, allowing us to save a million bucks in 2017 and let Farah have a proper final last year, than Taylor was made not to shake hands on the deal. Lets face it who ever he goes to now will expect us to pick up over 50% percent,so in the long run we will be further out of pocket.

Once again we are not privy to what has been going on behind closed doors and what brought this all to a head, so maybe Taylor had no choice, but it could also be two very stubborn people with very different ideas and neither the has the ability to meet in the middle.

I just do not like to see a player who I consider to be our very best player in our short history, to have to leave like this, but I guess it is to late now and their will be no back down

Funny that no-one else wants him. Blair picked up a new club in November no problem.

Same as when Penrith moved Jennings, Lewis and Gordon on. There was a bidding war between us and the Sharks for Lewis, around the same time of the yr iirc. Not one club in the 5 days since this news broke has expressed any interest. And the fact that clubs would know they'd only have to pay a third of the contract surely says something doesn't it.

Even Chris Sandow found a club immediately he was forced out by Parramatta. I am not sure whether he still had a year to finish on his contract.

It says Taylor isn't by himself in his opinion of Farah.

Gee imagine if we signed lewis? And couldnt offload blair? We may never had heard of tedesco, brooks, sironen, moses and cherrington. Believe it or not it may have been worse. I doubt we would have been able to re-sign simona or nofoluma
