Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

Up to 204 pages WOW

My solution is pay Farah out his two years and ask him to leave immediately.

Give JT to round 12 to show why he should keep his job now that Farah is gone and he has his own coaching staff and if we are not improving and in the top 8 let Taylor go and bring in Cleary if he is still available.

I have on good authority that One of our ex players is encouraging other players to leave the joint given the mess we are in and no end in site. We are a basket case.

Might have to follow The Swans in 2016 whilst all this mess is being sorted out once again.

I hope all my WT gear that I put in the Salvo's bin yesterday goes to a good cause. (before Forum members call me disloyal I have followed Western Suburbs since 1977 and the WT since 2000 so as a fan have been through a lot)

Farah WILL be at the Wests Tigers for the next TWO seasons…

TWO is the number of games it will take for the mutant to be under the spotlight..

Surely though with Robbie in the team we'll win both…

I see just how lost this team is without Farah.. i wont sit idle and watch my club have its soul ripped away by a mutant and his NRL appointed backers…

Clearly not a decision made by Wests Tigers and not in the best interests of the Wests Tigers..

Football clubs need to honour contracts. What infuriated many WTs' supporters was the alleged threat made to Farah and also the unfortunate choice of Taylor and Reddy as a negotiating pair. If the club had made its decision to move Farah on, surely someone in the club with sensitivity, tact, understanding and good communication skills should have been negotiating with Farah. Who chose Taylor and Reddy? Is that individual being held to account? We all talk about accountability so her it is! We missed a great opportunity to come to a mutually agreeable outcome with Farah. I think at one stage there was some talk of him playing one more season and then of the ESL. Those of us who support Farah have every reason to feel let down.

Is that you Sam…

Club has said since Day 1 Farah's contract will be honoured....abided by Ayoub's wishes by keeping it in house until it 'found' it's way into the press....

Why can't your scenario still be played out...?

No player should be guaranteed a first grade spot...just as no player from the squad should be excluded...As has once again been stated by the Club...

Should Robbie be placed above that?

Geo,

There are many good men and women from the Wests and Balmain clubs who could have been empowered to negotiate with Farah to achieve the best outcome for WTs and Robbie. Another year in the NRL and off to ESL to me would have been a win win for both parties. I just don't understand why Taylor and Reddy were involved. This was a fundamental mistake however I am optimistic that if someone with a bit of nous from Wests or Balmain became involved the situation could still be retrieved.

Farah is the Wests Tigers and to even suggest that he moves is laughable.

If the club wanted him out give him his dues and end of story.

I give that mutant taylor 7 games before he is punted…

No, Wests Tigers is the Wests Tigers.

No player is the club, or bigger than it. To suggest that is what is laughable.

And Dinko's mentality is exactly what gets players and clubs in trouble.

You fool i am relaying the sentiments of 100% wests tigers fans.

Please dont take it upon yourself to speak for me… The club would be stupid to keep Farah after all that has happened!

FTR, I'd suggest up to 40% of WT Fans are happy to see Robbie gone?!

Go, Bartololeo, Sinclair and the Mutant dont represent me. Being a plastic i didnt think youd mind them though..

What round will Ballin be back in roughly?

Not sure. He did his ACL in round 24 and it's generally a 9 month recovery. Given how rusty and tentative some players are in coming back from such an injury, plus he'll be limited in the contact work he can do, he'll be struggling IMO.

Maybe the warring parties have come to an agreement?

1) Farah plays to mid season and moves on, gets his Leichhardt oval farewell and saves some face
2) Ballin makes full rovery and assumes Farahs role

Anything else would be illogical and beyond insanity.. Making rash decisions based on emotions and out of spite is reckless. either way I'd prefer Farah over Ballin, though I think JT is putting all his eggs in the basket for 2017.. That is closer to hope as against fact

If they are serious about form deciding the hooker spot ( and they probably aren't ), Ballin will struggle.

Well you think that Farah will start the year at Hooker since there suspecting that Ballin won't be ready for the start of the Season .

Farah is seriously doing a disservice to himself playing under JT….. if he plays his natural game it's not in the best interest of the team and the way JT wants to play and if he plays the way JT wants him to ? All his doing is passing the ball from dummy half and doing 40 odd tackles . Then he will be criticized for not adding nothing to the team cause everyone compares him to how he used to play .

Do yourself a favour Robbie get the Hell out of here for your own Sanity.

Best to just leave it jirskyr, there is a golden rule which says: Never argue with an idiot, he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience every time.

Im with sideline on this one..good call..back on Farah,I still reckon what has happened has happened and it has to be sorted for the good of the CLUB….
Irrespective of who you like and who you dont,Robbie is a player and Taylor is the Coach..end of story..to many times over the years has there been coach player disharmony with little respect given to the coaches for the job they have to and are expected to do...Potter is the perfect example...he was also a good person to boot...

It's funny you know…I watched a few games I had on tape the other day ( Storm Raiders Broncos Dragons Warriors Souths couple of others) to relive some wins (almost wins) mainly to watch Cherrington and what is saw was a hooker engaging the markers ...darting out of dummy half ....putting the ball out in front of his playmakers...passing off the ground for his hit-up forward.... when he was one the field we rolled forward well....he certainly wasn't just passing the ball from dummy half....Farah did those things as well just not at the same pace...I find it odd Taylor would have different instructions for both dummy halves.....

Yeh your right.

I remember thinking how Cherrington came into the team and played with a hell of a lot of freedom out of dummy half. So I don't think Taylor is stiffling Farah from the hooking role at all. The only thing I see him containing is when Farah tries to get into first and 2nd receiver, but as far as dummy half play goes, I think Cherrington proved that Taylor is happy for the hooker to be creative.

A good sourse has just told me that robbie is all but signed with the drag queens, and it should be announced within the week. lf true ballin and cherrington have the hooking roll between them.

I agree Geo that Farah is much slower than Cherrington but Farah's all round game isn't used to the full extent, hence why JT feels his better served elsewhere and with his money his taking up could be better served in other positions.

Farah used to kick way more from dummy half on 5th tackles, grubber into the ingoal to force a goal line drop out, take the line on more when he saw something, this year was anything but that…..from my observations.

No doubt that Cherrington is our future and think his going to be great guns for us his game time will be increased as the year progresses.

Bp you are on the money, I also have it on good authority that is where his going but never bothered to share it as I'm aware what happens here when you share that kind of info.
