@Flippedy said:@hobbo2803 said:So the latest is that Pascoe has offered Farah a two year extension on his current contract so that Farah can be a one club player and Pascoe is confident that Farah & Taylor can work out their differences .
I give up .. I need a labotomy !
I thought you'd already had one
But on a serious note, what the hell is going on here???? If we can believe any of the stuff being printed recently, first the club desperately wants Farah to go and JT does everything he can to get rid of him, then JT says all is good now and Robbie is training well, they have buried the hatchet and are looking forward to working together next season. Just a few days later, we now have Farah throwing down the gauntlet and wanting to leave, then we have our CEO saying no Robbie don't go! Stay for another 4 years, no - stay for life!!! WHAT THE?
Then, to top it all off, we have reports that Brooks and Moses are now being shopped around by the club and that they don't get along with Taylor :crazy !!! Weren't these the two guys the Wests Tigers were supposed to be building their future around? Have I missed something here, or has JT got a ready made five eighth/half combination floating around in his back pocket somewhere - I'm stuffed if I know.
All I know is that whatever the outcome of all this mess - whether Farah stays or goes, whether Taylor stays or goes or whether Brooks & Moses stay or go - we are already well and truly rooted for next season.
Despite all the positive spin that we will no doubt hear from the club with future headlines like 'the off field dramas won't have any effect on the team, we'll be focusing on playing good footy and making the 8 blah blah', they _will_ be affected and our season will suffer - you can bet your house on it.
If Farah ends up having to go, Brooks, Moses, Tedesco & co will not be happy - they all went on holidays together for crying out loud! If he stays, JT and the board won't be happy. If JT goes, we will have to start all over again from scratch with a new coach.
Whichever way you look at it, it does not bode well for a good season next year. No one's head is gonna be in it, hell my head isn't even in it! The damage is already done, so I reckon we may as well all bend over and kiss our next season so long, farewell, see ya later, sayonara, arrivederci, aufweidersen, see ya when ya bum cracks and goodbye!

This is true but it's only the cap charge. The salary will be paid by WT politis will pay 100k.
This is interesting you can't release him for this and the coach player relationship is untenable.

Wests Tigers Statement
>
Wests Tigers would like to clarify media reports regarding Robbie Farah’s future with the Club.
>
Farah met with Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe today with details of those conversations set to remain confidential.
>
Farah still has two years left on his contract with the Club, with reports of a new playing contract being offered to him incorrect.
>
Justin Pascoe said that the Club would continue to work with Farah and his management regarding his playing future with Wests Tigers. Wests Tigers will not accept terms within any release that puts the Club in further financial risk and will strive to create an environment that allows all players, including Farah, to thrive.
>
“We will continue to work closely with Robbie and his management to come up with an agreement that meets the needs of both parties,” said Pascoe. “Robbie still has two years left on his playing contract with Wests Tigers and at this stage remains a part of the Club’s plans for the 2016 season.
>
“We are looking at a number of options with Robbie, including what role he may play with Wests Tigers once he finishes his playing career,” he said. “Robbie is approaching 250 games with Wests Tigers and any Club would be open to having a player of that experience involved in an Ambassador role after their retirement.
>
“We are committed to building a successful and sustainable Wests Tigers both on and off the field and this will be taken into account when a decision regarding Robbie’s future with the Club is made,” he said.

Even we aren't as dumb as to release him to save only $100,000 a year whilst paying him to play elsewhere.

God we are an absolute joke! The other clubs must be having a good old belly laugh at us.
Has there been a player or coach who hasn't left this place without drama or bad blood within the last 5 years? Sheens took us to court for terminating his contract too early (is this still being paid out by the way?), Potter was pushed in terribly bad circumstances; Benji also given the heave ho and is glad to be rid of us; Anasta, Lote, Blair, Fifita and Austin have nothing good to say about us, Anasta said he was also owed money; Taupau couldn't wait to leave - and no it wasn't all just about getting more money. The only one who hasn't said anything bad about us since leaving is Korobeite, but that's probably because he's a nice bloke who simply doesn't have a lot to say!
Seriously, I really couldn't give a bugger if the whole club folded right now, I'm over WT and the continual barrage of crappy press that goes along with them.
