What bs crap with Brooks are you talking about Happy

The reported meeting between Moses ,Ayoub ,Brooks etc

Brooks family is filthy about it and another player is dumping the Ayoub over this

Farah would know it didn't happen

If he loves the club and the players like he claims he should come out and say something

If not it just supports every claim being made about Farah

How do you know that was a meeting with them or that they were involved in any discussions.
There's plenty of people saying that it was hardly a private meeting, and apparently a place where the players regulatrly go socially. There has been nothing that I've seen to say they were part of any conspiracies .
I took the report that the families were upset about the original reports involving both , was becaused it involved the young guys. But have seen Nothing that says they are filthy with Farah and his manager about their so called" dragging" the young guys into it. I read it as they were filthy about the way it was reported to deliberately involve the players.

But never mind , if the way I read it was right, it still makes a bit of shakey
news that can soon be Moulded into fact, to join some of the other stuff accredited to Farah
The only place that I've seen anything Saying that the young blokes were involved in any actual meeting is here, and We know how reliable that that would be.

So whoever wrote this report , is someone who we can believe , is it?
I only ask , as there so many reporters that are spoken of here as grubs one day, and as fine upstanding gentlemen of the press the next. Depending On whether their story suits one argument ot the other on any given day
I agree with you though , it does sound like BS.

Id like to know who is leaking information to Happy from the Brooks family? 😱pen_mouth:

Robbie Farah's bid to join a rival club next season after receiving a payout from Wests Tigers has hit a hurdle, with the NRL set to insist that any contract for the NSW Origin hooker be included in the salary cap at market value regardless of how little he is being paid.

This is true if the Wests Tigers accepted his request for an immediate release with a full payout..making him a free agent….they have declined that request...It does not mean he won't be released if negotiations with a rival Club for his services are acceptable to both Farah and the Wests Tigers...

To my knowledge Farah has not rescinded his request for a release and negotiations are on-going...

People say he is part of the boys club

To me he is the opposite of the boys club.

The boys club were happy to play with their mates and pick up their money (Benji, Moltzen, etc)

Robbie was the moody, driven bloke who wanted to challenge people in the club to get better. He didn't talk to guys after losing. Personally i wish we had more of those personalities. Thats just characters I like around a football club. Some don't.

I understand why some fans don't resonate with him. Like I said he is not without his faults.

I just will always admire him because he performed consistently for a decade and hated losing.

Thats just my take on it, other people have a different view. Other people see him as the evil in the club and that all ours woes will magically no away with him leaving.

I have always seen him as a winner and a fiercely loyal competitor. You have fans in here and they love their Keithy or Patty or Chrissy Lawrence, they worship them as great blokes and great ambassadors. I them as well but I didn't think they achieved great things at this club. Robbie did, he made himself a consistent rep standard footballer. Personally i think hennaed more of them not less.

Your not going to change my mind, just agree to disagree.

I'm with the same view point Eddie. I agree that we need more Robbie's not less. Players that give their all, are honest and show that a loss affects them as much as it does us, the fans.
Those types are very few and far between. :frowning:

Already renewed my membership.
I just hope this Farah saga goes away soon, as the longer it stays around the club is being bought down with it.
This is a dreadful way for the club to have to begin a season, I just hope the players are not listening to too much of this garbage, and able to concentrate on what they have to do to put in a "good" show on the playing field…. Go Tigers 😛ray: 😛ray:

Understand what your trying to say Eddie, but to my way of thinking as a captain he should have been out there trying to raise their spirits and 'rally the troops ' as they say. from all accounts he was dismal in that respect. Perhaps he was always too emotional to make a good captain and is better off letting someone else have a go. Woodsy for me.

Eddie yet again u are bang on.

I am stunned about the rubbish on here about Robbie.

You are seeing it as I do.

Good lad!

You keep bringing up the on field stuff Eddie

Pity he couldn't just leave it on field though , hey

He was involved in taking down Sheens , he was involved in taking down Potter

No one can deny that

Players shouldn't be getting involved in that and the minute they do they become open game for whatever heat comes there way

Ghost you have absolutely no idea , your ignorance is astounding

No need to be snarky Happy. This hot weather must be getting to you. Go for a dip and cool down.

Ok Jt is struggling
but I read in the tele that farah and moses and brookes were in a meeting with Farah's manager
JT is right in moving him on

Do we need any more proof what Robbie is doing.
JT is right in moving him on

The tele always gets its facts right.

^^^ Exactly. He, like the fans, doesn't want to accept the mediocrity the club has shown, in the way it has been ran. Not sure why people hate Robbie for that but I suppose I can understand their angle.

I believe nothing that the tele ever publishes it is an awful agenda driven source of misinformation.

Buddy,

Its all Robbie fault that both coaches were sacked (Or Wobbie as some of our fans like to call him)

It was not Sheens fault they couldn't tackle or played 3 wingers on the bench most weeks?

Coaches are not partly to blame for being sacked with 40% win records? Why would you think that

Farah orchestrated it all

:crazy

I don't reckon you are totally off the mark Eddie.

Problem is, this issue could have gone 2 ways - the quiet respectful way, and the ridiculous drawn-out media way.

Almost nobody is arguing that Farah is not hard-done-by. I think most supporters agree he has been an absolute pillar of our club and one of our most tremendous on- and off-field contributors.

The problem is that this media campaign has really hurt the club and supporters. Only the player and agent can drum up the media storm, because it's their only public recourse against the club. No club would ever push this material themselves, it's just self-slaughter.

So whether or not Farah explicitly gave instructions, his manager and lawyer are campaigning hard.

If you go back to the early pages, the support for him was very high, very solid. After a few months of mess and mud, many people have waivered, lost respect, changed their mind.

It then becomes easy to look back at the history and nitpick at Farah, speculate on his involvement in coaching declines etc., emphasise his role in past failures. I think a lot of supporters are trying to find ways to come to terms with what they now consider a certainty - that Farah will be gone soon enough.

He doesn't deserve all of that, but at the same time, the club doesn't deserve the media circus over what is a fairly common player transaction.

I personally was shocked and surprised, but honestly Farah is not at his best right now. If he was, we would not be having this conversation. And if he really was a completely helpful team player, the coach wouldn't be trying to manage him out of the side.

Farah has gambled on a PR backlash against the club, and I think he originally had it, but the longer we go without footy and only speculation in the papers, the more his reputation is tarnished.

They were there but there was no meeting. Brooks and Moses were there with friends separate to Farah. I'm sure at some stage they were seen talking to Farah but it wasn't a meeting. The fact Farah has allowed media to beat it up so it seems the youngsters are with him and possibly against the club reflects very poorly on Robbie and from what i can gather has upset our 3 most key players (Tedesco) included even though he wasn't there. Tedesco probably upset about other reports that he "could" follow Farah out.

That's my take, correct me where I'm wrong Happy, Geo etc. I think I got close to it.

Brooks and Moses don't have managers…I think Brooks is managed by his father and Moses by his uncle? Happy to be corrected if wrong.

Ayoub his ruined Tedescos reputation, talking him into canberra, now this etc. Hope he dumps him as manager.

I think both are managed by Moses' brother.

You would know more than i do, i just remember Brooks's family handling his last contract negotiation.
